Yes! it's correct. If I do not allowed to use 75% of my vps resources constant then this whole package is a lie. I don't buy a VPS to idling, I'm not doing a trading bussiness, to buy a VPS for a cheap price and ideling and then sell it for high price.
75% constant CPU load sounds a damn lot, most hosts will suspend you, unless you purchased a VDS instead of a VPS.
The CPU in this deal is not dedicated but shared, meaning 75% resources usage would result in 3 out of 4 cores being in constant full use by one client. That's not how these things work. You have dedicated memory and disk space, but not a dedicated CPU.
CPU is something you share for that price with me. That's the difference between VPS (Virtual Private Server) and VDS (Virtual Dedicated Server).
Sure, such an epyc costs you around 20k€
20.000€/36 write off = 555€/month hardware
500 watts are around = 220€/month
IPs/Traffic = ~200€/month
Support / R&D = ~150€/month
This will leave you with 1125€/month in expenses
These hosts have 128 threads and 2,2tib memory.
Lets deactivate SMT as we want to sell real dedicated cores, 64 cores then.
Great you can book a VPS with one core and 32 GB memory for only as much as 17,57€/month.
Or we just lie about dedicated cores, activate smt and make it 1 core 16gb memory and 8,78€/month.
Are you ready to order?
Those margins sucks bad
It's like operating to just sustain yourself enough to pay back just the expenses lol
It doesn't say anything about dedicated resources, so why do you think they are dedicated resources? If you want to host blockchains, then go to a host that specializes in it or rent a dedicated server. As @ProHosting24 said, I don't understand why people think they can host blockchains or something similair and make a supposedly big win at the expense of everyone else sharing the same node. If something isn't advertised, it won't be offered/included. There is a reason why many different providers ban blockchain nodes or something similar. So far, prohosting is pretty solid and it's a big plus for me that they don't host such things in their shared environment as many other professional hosts do. Try the same with Hetzner, OVH or any other hoster and you'll get canceled without them getting into a discussion later.
when servers will be available again i want to buy
lol
Why you dont buy a dedicated server or a vds and stop derailing this thread?
Open a new thread and ask for offers or check this out: https://lowend-deals.xbit.win/#vds
ITT: MJJ who got called out with receipts for blockchain and mining activities but are still beating a dead horse.
The host here is simply protecting resources. They mentioned this more coherently, but it goes beyond CPU usage, with network load and even with SR-IOV, your connections are going to throttle out and cause general suboptimal loads on the server.
Don't believe it? Try hosting a 10,000 probe PRTG core server on anything virtualized. It'll bottleneck hard. Put that same load on bare metal and it'll do just fine.
Thank you @ProHosting24 - I got the VM for an AI intensive program to tag almost 2,000 wedding photos and it's been running great.
Very well said. 👍🏼👍🏼
When presented with facts and numbers, suddenly they disappear. Right, @ototos ??
Seems like we will post offers first at black friday again, if at all.
I already researched a 3 node 7663 128c/256thread 2048GB memory line up but i am not sure about ordering as i don't really know if we want to do this again.
Scrolling up you can see that i already wrote that we are not going to post offers again with this amount of abuse. But it's not only the abuse. We still need some improvement regarding acceptable use policy and more clear definition on whats allowed and what not together with someone volunteering to moderate this thread.
Otherwise we would willingly risk to compromise the quality for our long term customers.
Writing so much on LET hurts us financially as well as you could imagine that this is not the place to do big profits.
But i don't want to give those small percentage of abusers the chance to actually destroy the experience for most of the users here including me.
I want to express some special gratitude to very helpful and supportive members of the community in this thread including:
@dev_vps @Kris @gbzret4d @Mumbly @MaxTakeba @loay @Falzo @maverick @AXYZE and last but not least @hyperblast
You have been very helpful each by supporting us or providing feedback.

Thank you, @ProHosting24 and much appreciated
thank you too
I have a vps from another provider here and im using it for monitoring my own servers, domains, ... and sometimes im getting notifies about a downtime which is a false positive cause something is throttling. Im not that server specialist but i guess its some limitations the hoster set for the network cause ram usage is about 65% at maximum and cpu usage is about 20% with some spikes.
Right now ive migrated all tools to another server from another provider and no false positives anymore.
Thank you very much. I like the vps so far, no downtimes or any other problems. In my opinion, your appearance and your statements make you likeable and credible, and I am happy to be a customer. It is a highly competitive market and even if the server would cost a little more, I would keep it as I am quite prepared to support professional behavior from my point of view because that is what distinguishes many hosters from a few.
I included @ProHosting24 in top three providers in last year's LET provider vote
I am sure, this year @ProHosting24 will get many more votes.
Thanks a lot for the kind gesture! Really appreciate it. Always happy to share my experience and help out

Oh wow, thank you, already have a half year, but this will add to it.
Much appreciated and thank you for keeping the neighbors less noisy!
Wow, haven't seen this coming.
I guess no more excuses not to at least try your service.
I will send support pin as requested, probably early next week...
Believe it or not, slightly busy benchmarking other Genoa's right now, beside other stuff...
Thanks @ProHosting24 !
honorable announcement and i am very happy about the small gift.
for the rest of us can we get +35% credit top up?
Much love from Aotearoa 💜
Isn't average laptop capable of doing it faster than 8c genoa nowadays.
100% constant cpu usage in vps plan? wtf is wrong with people
I still don't understand see why I see only a lot of these kinds of comments in @ProHosting24 threads.
It's common sense to assume they are shared when not mentioning anything about dedicated instead of the other way around. And even then so even providers with a VDS usually have stuff against constant high cpu usage related to crypto/blockchain.
Providers who don't do anything against these kind of abuse in a shared environment aren't good providers in my opinion. So kudos to @ProHosting24
@ProHosting24 Respect. I'm not a customer yet, but I look forward to becoming one. I'm impressed with how you handle all the crypto abuse and the shenanigans around it.
I really do hope you have a Black Friday sale, but I’d understand if you decide not to, given all the issues you've had to deal with.
I am curious about how providers calculate CPU usage. Is it simply adding up the usage for each core? Assuming there are 4 cores, if 25% of each core is used equally, is it 100%? Is it 25% calculated as 100/400?
They don't split CPU - it is the same for everybody. CPU is just shared by customers, and if one user uses it constantly at 100%, then that customer becomes a very noisy neighbour.
A customer might use software like "cpulimit", to limit a process to about 20% or 40%, depending on the terms. But even so it creates little spikes. If however multiple customers use CPU at 50% constantly, to not appear abusive, then just a few customers would load the whole CPU, making it bad for the rest in the neighborhood.
Usually abusers are easy to notice, but are they actually abusers if they stick to terms and take just a slice of CPU for partial constant use at let's say 50%? This is a hard question to answer, because the provider needs to make money by sharing that CPU among multiple customers. This is where one has to know the difference between VPS (virtual private server) and VDS (virtual dedicated server - where your core is just your core).
Just drop all miners' vps on the same separate node and stream on twitch how they fight for resources. Many will leave eventually, all you will have to do is just ban and refund the last one standing.
