I think I can! I'm using it as my personal desktop since almost all websites are blocked in the office. The CPU is at 16-28% when I'm using YT (720-1024p). I'm also playing a very old MMORPG inside.
Which plan are you using?
The Rootserver Holo.
Disable ambient mode smh, it's a cpu hog.
And show "Stats for nerds" (right click youtube video) to see skipped frames.
without the ambient mode
Maybe because i'm using NM...
I received DDR3 RAM instead, which is quite Eehh. Now I'm waiting for their response since they had promised DDR5...
btw, 3 cores is bad for privacy, if you use windows.
sites will think you are a bot / fraud, because 3 cores is rare case.
2 4 8 cores is good
view frame is 955 x 537. This is not even 720p.
1080p == 1920 x 1080
AMD A6-3500: Am i joke to you?
How do you even put Windows on it. ) Dashboard lets me only pick between Debians and Ubuntus.
How would sites know if the client machine is 3 vCores or 4 vCores?
This is not accurate, just how much is available to the browser session
Yes, this is a strong signal. If you have 3 cores, then you are probably from a virtual server.
How many cores does it show on this server?
Maybe Chrome has implemented a privacy fix.
I want to clarify that we do not offer any servers with DDR3 RAM in our portfolio. We exclusively use DDR4 and DDR5 host systems.
It’s possible that there was a misunderstanding and you might mean a DDR4 server instead? If there was an error that caused you to be directed to a DDR4 server instead of a DDR5 server, someone from our team will promptly address the issue in the ticketing system.
How much for additional IPv4 ?
1,00 € /Mo.
Our team has checked it. I don't know where you got your information from, but you are on the correct host system...

This is DDR5 RAM and not DDR3. The AMD EPYC 9754 CPU cannot be operated with DDR3 RAM as it is designed exclusively for DDR4 or DDR5 memory. Therefore, the information you have received is incorrect.
Is the/64-IPv6 subnet routed?
@FameSystems
Can I still install Windows if I've picked "Linux" on purchase and how? Dashboard only gives a choice of Debian/Ubuntu.
@FameSystems Are you going to address the CPU related questions? Or selectively ignoring those?
We want to clarify some misconceptions about the CPU usage policy.
The limit for the CPU usage is 100% which should be obvious. As mentioned on our last thread, our KVM servers use shared CPU cores. But we have a load balance system, that ensures an even distribution across all our Host systems. This System ensures that every customer gets the adequate performance they pay for, because we avoid overselling.
The load balancer monitors the load on every Host system. If the load on a host system is too high, the load balancer migrates the server that need more resources to a host system with less load (live migration). This guarantees that all customers receive the resources they pay for.
The threshold here is around 50% CPU usage per host system, so that the right performance is also available during peaks.
We definitely take actions against important abuses. In Cybr's case, we saw a CPU usage of over 100% (regularly around 110%) over a period of multiple days. Our current policy states, that we will suspend users that use that much over a longer period of time. But in the case of Cybr we didn't want to suspend him, without knowing why he uses 110%. So we just limited his server. He opened a ticket, and we asked him why he uses that much, but he couldn't give us a reason. We rarely limit/suspend someone, but using 110% over a longer period is not fair.
We know that our terms and conditions currently do not include that we limit servers in case of too high utilization, and that our current statement about blocking is too vague. Since we want our policies to be transparent, we will adapt our T&Cs to describe the case of limiting and specify at what usage exactly.
We want our customers to have an environment where they can use all the resources they pay for, without affecting others. Excessive overuse, particularly without justification, is nothing we can support. We encourage open communication, and if Cybr had given a clear reason for this excessive use, we would have been willing to find a solution.
We appreciate your understanding, and we will continue to work on improving our transparency. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out to us directly.
German dedicated (v)Cores strikes again.
Thanks for the detailled explanation
Seems more legit now
So, we can't actually use 100% as we will be suspended per your policy? It pains me to jump on the band wagon here - but would appreciate some clarity.
Performance so far as been great, I use BOINC to avoid excessive idling and to do some good, so my CPU use is 80% ish.
"Dedicated resources (KVM Virtualization)"
It's not dedicated. No idea why they keep calling it that when it's already a solid offer as is.
Agreed - I'm not mad, but I will be if I am suspended for using too many of my dedicated resources when they are not actually dedicated.
@FameSystems has confirmed in his post, what I mentioned yesterday.
Here is a proper 1080p video test.
1440p video test
2160p (aka 4k) video test
