Hosthatch VPS

Purchased a cheap storage VPS from them during black friday to act as offsite backup and low demand CDN. In September I get an email of them wanting me to migrate to their new and shiny box at no additional cost to me, caveat is I have to back everything up and migrate everything over myself. I had it all set up as a passive thing that needed me to touch it once or twice a year maximum. I made some probing questions about whether the BF discount would transfer then admitted I really don't have the motivation, energy or time to be migrating a server and that I was not interested at the moment and inquired how long this "offer" was available. They told me 14 days should be long enough and ended the 2nd to last correspondence with "Would that be enough time for you? Please let us know and we'll create your new VM for you."

Time passes and I get an email 2-3 days ago them simply saying my VM has been migrated and I told them no you are not as I have no agreed to any migration and their last response with radio silence since was "Can you please clarify?"

Can you please share a ticket number? I will be happy to take a look at it for you. Not really able to get the complete picture from the details you have shared.

14 days crossover time isn’t the same as ‘back everything up and migrate’, that’s just ‘migrate’. And a generous time period to do so

It sounds like they moved your data for you. You did nothing and they did all the work.
If your IP is the same and all data there, there's nothing to complain about.

Though, I'm curious about the HH forced migration since the storage path/mount changes.
