ASN Registration help...

bitbit Member
edited October 2024 in Requests

Hi all...

I'm looking to register my own ASN and get some address ranges for use on my projects, some of which will need to be multihomed.

I'm looking at doing a project that will involve anycast.

Ideally looking for PI addresses. But first I need to get registered.

I've spent some time looking at becoming a LIR, but this side of Christmas the budget just won't stretch to it.

If you have any offers let me know.

    €50/year for each /48.
    You need really good justification.

Happy to help! Pricing is already up to date for 2025. So no unpleasant surprises ahead

  • I recommend ^ SGraf.

The reason why we have it at a very low price is because we only offer ASN sponsorship to our existing customers. It’s to offer convenience to our customers rather than to make a profit.

Have an ASN. Need to transfer. Can I become your customer?

    100€ / One-Time ?

  • @zmeu said: 100€ / One-Time ?

ASNs are PI space, so its 100 one time and 100 yearly, RIPE charges LIRs 50 euros so him doing 100 euros one-time without recurring wouldn't make sense.

Correct, this is stated on the website.

Where are you and where are your services located? Location matters.

Looking for IPv4 or IPv6 addresses?

This should probably be in the AIO thread though.

    I'm currently located in Europe.

Services currently in Europe: need to currently host equipment/resources in 3 separate countries/locations. Looking at geographical redundancy with maybe kit in the USA/Canada and elsewhere.

If you want to do that project with MyRootPW, let me know. I can offer Vienna and Amsterdam for physical locations with dedicated servers or colocation in Europe. For .US i can do Kansas City. In this case, we can probably do a bundle pricing for some of the things you need. (We can also do L2 Connectivity with guaranteed bandwith between colo/server services in AMS and VIE.

For USA/Canada you would talk to ARIN, $250 or $500 per year for ASN and some IPv6 space, plus some fees to open an account, from memory it was $100.

Alright prices increase for 2025. $262.50 for 1-3 ASNs, up to /24 IPv4 and up to /40 IPv6.

Unless you are going to buy IPv4 space though that part can be ignored.
