how to use sim card on windows pc/receive sms on windows pc
Hi,
i have 2 sim cards im using for registering on websites where i dont want to give my real phone number due to leaks which results in spamming. Whats the best way to receive sms on my windows pc? I was thinking of getting some cheap dual sim smartphone but i have also 2 e3372-325 usb sim modems which i could use but im not a fan of using them through a webinterface. What would you do? How you would connect this sim cards, if using a smartphone, to get the sms delievered to my smartphone im using when im not at home, so i could get sms from this 2 sim cards on my daily use smartphone (android)?

@dev_vps cause hes a windows pro
try google messages.
messages.google.com -- not sure if it supports reading OTP's
if not,
try Phone Link/ Link to windows
all these work if you have a smartphone.
but i think the latter option requires you to be near the phone.
Yeah smartphone needs to be near the pc and pc needs to be turned on. I guess im using a smartphone. messages.google.com with the same account im using on my daily use smartphone?
The MODEM is detected as several COM ports.
You can connect to a COM port using PuTTY software at 115200 baud rate.
You can then type AT commands to retrieve SMS.
Each MODEM should have a datasheet that contains the AT commands it support.
When you are outside, you can connect to the Windows system via Remote Desktop Connection.
You can also use plink.exe, part of PuTTY, to interact with the COM ports via command line.
I have a COM ceiling fan. Unfused.
But I never call it COM, between friends it's known as serial.
Thanks
I guess ill just get a dual sim smartphone and use messages
If those carriers support eSIM, you could add it to your daily-use phone and receive SMS normally. It depends on a few things, though.
Wouldn't the AT protocol of carrier-branded modems be encapsulated within some proprietary binary stream? Why assume interoperability when you can safely bet that it is a mess.
Sierra Wireless radio chipset and their Watcher software.. Most (all) modems are dual-SIM but not many computers (laptops) have two SIM card slots. My last few laptops have only had one. Some of the newest modems will do a slot and eSIM though.
There are third-party applications that work too.
But yes, it is all done with AT modem commands.
Im using already an esim in my pixel smartphone and 1 esim can be activated at the same time and i have 2 physical sim cards i want to use in my windows pc or with another smartphone which is i guess the easier way
What software do you mean?
For what?
You wrote "third party applications" could you tell me their names?
Method 1: Easy but 0 privacy (SMS itself is even worse though lol)
Dual-SIM Android phone (10€ on eBay)
Use Google Messages to sync SMS across different devices, also works with Beeper
Method 2:
Dual-SIM Android phone
Use some app that forwards any incoming SMS to EMAIL (use an email that supports realtime sync)
(Or SMS to URL + something like NTFY, can also send stuff to discord, telegram etc.)
I could.. I could also tell you to use your favourite web search tool.
Mobile Broadband SMS Toolkit
SMSNow
SmsEnabler
M2MSupport works, but is more advanced than what you need, also not really its purpose.
Beeper looks nice but as far as it looks it only supports one google message account
@gbzret4d
Look at TextNow app — I use it for getting SMS messages and it has a dedicated phone number assigned to it.
I have a premium phone number assigned to it - it ends with 0000
I guess its only available in the US? Cant download it from the ms-store
If Linux is an option, I've used Gammu SMSD to do exactly what you're describing with USB modems.
Back when I had google voice they gave me a phone number for free with calling and texting in my browser.
I could use a browser on any device to access all messages were stored on cloud somewhere by google.
Also, calls and text can be sent to and from phone using google voice app or android browser if you want to make it hard.
Calls and text to the google voice number can also be sent directly to your phone number.
If I misunderstood question, ignore me. (idk, if you can use sim card since you get a number that is not on sim card.)
Google voice is not available here
Order sim router and enbale dmz enbaled router web and router admin web sms read write
Huawei B818-263 LTE Router
Or Windows rdp and check web.

you can easily connect such services, pay less than the tariff plan of your SIM card, and have the opportunity to solve your problems without buying additional equipment. And there is more than one such service and it is not TEXTNOW or Google Voice, which is mainly available to American users. Then you install the application on your computer and use everything you need. And everyone in the world uses private cheap virtual numbers from different countries for such tasks
Anonyme.com is not free as far as I can see, minimum 25$ per year. I bought a 2nd phone and installed an app which forwards me all revived sms messages as email
