Anyone Have Experience with World Host Group?
Hello Everyone,
I’ve been following the news that World Host Group has acquired several hosting brands, and I’m curious how this has affected the quality of service offered by these brands. With all the changes happening, it’s important to understand if their reliability has been impacted, especially for those of us considering them for hosting needs.
I wanted to open up a discussion and gather insights from those who are either using World Host Group directly or have continued using one of the hosting brands they’ve acquired.
Key Points of Interest:
1. Reliability After Acquisition: For those using brands that have been acquired by World Host Group, have you noticed any changes in reliability, performance, or uptime since the acquisition?
Service Quality: Are these brands maintaining the same level of service they were known for before being acquired? Is the transition seamless, or have there been noticeable dips in support or server quality?
Support Changes: Have there been any changes in customer support response times or quality after the acquisitions? Is World Host Group providing sufficient support to these newly acquired brands?
Brand Integration: Are the hosting brands now operating under the World Host Group umbrella offering new features or improvements, or are they losing their individuality and quality? Any differences in pricing or packages?
Long-Term Reliability: What’s the overall consensus on World Host Group’s reputation for long-term reliability and stability? Should new users be confident about signing up with one of their brands post-acquisition?
Why This Matters:
Many of us rely on hosting providers for critical services, and a shift in management can sometimes lead to growing pains, including issues with support, performance, or pricing changes. If you've had direct experience, I’d love to hear your insights on whether these concerns are valid with World Host Group.
Looking forward to your feedback!

I avoid any hosting group that has this many brands, most just turn to shit eventually. Stick with the independent providers.
All these brands were independent providers previously.
webhostpython and multacom was good which are now part of WHG
I think Racknerd uses Multacom in LA location and also CloudCone, MicroHost, etc.
MochaHost was crap. But MelbourneIT was earlier good.
so IDK if they acquire new brands will those brands perform individually (as independent companies with own staff) or will go the way of EIG hosting (bluehost, hostgator and other 50 sh*t brands) are managed, run, supported by one comapny EIG (new name; newfold digital) so even if you migrate from any EIG brand to another EIG brand you get same awful service, because the staff is same.
Many providers are available that want to stay independent though, unlike some whose whole intention is to sell.
I was active with primehost for 6 years before Stablepoint acquired Theprimehost. Too many servers down while with theprimehost.
But now that Stablepoint has acquired theprimehost, there are no more server downs. Stablepoint is under WHG.
In terms of price, I still get the old recurring price for the next 2 years.
Currently I use a reseller hosting service.
Support tickets are answered in approximately 30 minutes.
But im plan to move from them, maybe looking for vps plan in singapore location.
you would find few key points identical,
upmind billing system - in-house service.
same customer support staff / at-least for live chat / L1, L2
cPanel hosting - webhostpython used to offer DA Hosting
VPS from vpscheap.net possibly. - part of group.
In short, cost optimization for the acquired company. Sharing / Decreasing cost of servers and licenses. Business administration expenses being optimized.
retention of reliability after acquisition probably defer case by case basis.
WebHostPython used to be SO GOOD, now support is awful and so does the service. It's sad when good companies get sold to big companies that only cares about money
Do you remember Dillon from WHP? That was me
Shane was the master though.
It seems that World Host Group has indeed removed the list of their brands from their official page https://worldhost.group/#brands, making it less transparent for users to track their extensive portfolio. However, based on recent acquisitions and public reports, it is widely known that they own a strong lineup of hosting brands. As far as I know, these brands include:
Stablepoint
Mochahost
Hostforweb
WebHostingBuzz
Doteasy
WebHostPython
HostingRaja
Suempresa
Xpress Hosting
Cirrus Hosting
LuxHosting (with Hosting.co.uk and MonsterHost)
DollarHost
Coolhandle
ColombiaHosting
Given their solid reputation in the hosting industry, these brands hold significant potential. However, as you rightly pointed out, World Host Group needs to improve its service and support to match the expectations and maintain the quality that these brands historically offered.
I’m not sure why you’d want to donate money to an investment group but who am I to judge really
only Stablepoint and WebHostPython were doing good earlier. IDK what happened after they got acquired. Mochahost, HostingRaja, Hostforweb, WebHostingBuzz was sub-par and awful in performance, service, and uptime. That's why they might have got sold to World Host Group it seems. If the services are gone downhill then it would be another Endurance International Group/NewFold Digital like trash
You must be dealing with a different stablepoint. They definitely don't treat their grandfathered customers that way. Did you switch to their current hosting plans or are you still on one of the original theprimehost servers? I have reseller hosting on one of their old prime host servers (buffalo2, probably shouldn't share the domain). The server was great when managed by the theprimehost. Stablepoint seems to be ignoring it, since they took over. It has 433 domains hosted on it (according to dnslytics), and only 32GB of total ram. It's frequently using over 80% of swap and 60% percent of ram (this seems backwards) according to cpanel service status. Takes anywhere from 10 seconds to over a minute to load a wordpress front end which takes about 1/5 of a second on my new provider. It's supposedly an SSD server, but it performs as if it has an overly saturated hard drive RAID. Internal whm pages take a minimum of about 15 seconds to respond.
It's reseller hosting but I used it to host multiple personal sites. I have moved on (to knownhost). My dad still hosts 1 site on it, because it's on sitepad, and it was a nightmare trying to migrate it to my new hosting. I guess it's to be expected, considering theprimehost plan was $10 and was on a cpanel license version from before they started limiting number of accounts (110.0). Still hasn't been upgraded because it would cost them too much.
Im still on their old server. buffalo2.texaserve.com 😁
Now im moved all my production wen to vps, that's buffalo reseller hosting just used for email backup.
And i won't renew that reseller host, because all the software on that server is all outdated.
Im try contacting them to update, but they told me is all up to date...
I don't know if they are too lazy or something else... On next 3 month my plan is expire 😁
