How are Floridian DCs holding up?

How are Floridian data centers holding up against Hurricane Milton? I've not noticed any major downtime or fallout yet. Is anyone experiencing issues with their data center or provider?

    Millions of people died.
    Millions of houses collapsed.
    Millions of servers offline.
    Billions lost every hour.

Mine's still up, not even latency fluctuations (in Tampa).

@kuroit / @ManishPant might have some more info, since I'm just a VPS customer of theirs.

This is what we have from our provider : @Ian_Dot_Tech

Our team, along with our upstream providers, is closely monitoring the potential impact of Hurricane Milton on the Tampa area, where one of our datacenter facilities is located. The datacenter has activated its emergency action plan to ensure uninterrupted service. This includes maintaining power via generators if necessary and keeping staff onsite throughout the storm.

**While we do not anticipate any disruptions to power or network services during the hurricane, we strongly recommend that all clients take offsite backups of their data as a precaution.

That's cool, I guess fibrelines will break before a DC fails though. Happened in Norway last year.

  • For a moment, I thought you were asking how Florin closet DC is doing, and my fingers, even though I'm not a hazi.ro client, reflexively pressed the 100% uptime button.
I should read more carefully next time before I act ... :(

Sorry to interrupt the fun, but I'm worried about the people there. May they get away at least alive and preferably with no serious harm!

Dear Floridians (that's how they are called, right?), I want you to know that there are people all around the world whose thoughts (and hope for you) are with you!

  • ReliableSite Miami @MrRadic @ReliableSiteHosting seems to be doing well. Haven't noticed any downtime.

Thankfully Miami wasn't in the path of the storm.

  • Looks like something/someone fell over at 5am, but otherwise, pretty good going for TPA-IX!
