Thats what I ment with my comment above, skylink is in the netherlands, so he is routing from Frankfurt to the Netherlands, which sounds expensive and odd.

PletX is our DDoS protection provider, we do not connect via GRE but directly via DE-CIX with them, so there are no high latency issues.
PleX routes it to skylink in the Netherlands though
eygelshoven (skylink) is located a few kilometers from Frankfurt.
At the moment they do not have a PoP in Germany, just like other famous providers like CosmicGuard, but they are working on providing one.
