Review of Kdatacenter aka shit provider stuck in 90s

edited October 2024 in Reviews

Hi,

Always forgot to post this one. Needed couple of VPS from South Korea and this provider was highly recommended, especially on Chinese forums. Either way decided to give a shot and see what I will get.

  1. All provisions and reinstall are MANUAL. You need to escalate the ticket to get it done. Holy shit. Here is one of the many tickets.

  2. Root passwords are sent in plaintext via email or ticket. Sometimes they send wrong passwords and most of the times they re-use the same password for the server. All emails are sent manually and might take up to 24 hours.

  3. Don't do business with them if you have a company. They refuse to have their company name and registration number on the invoice. They will force you to escalate the ticket for every invoice if you need a fix.

  4. YABS

That's because each request must be approved by the General Secretary himself:

    These are not atypical.

    I fixed your YABS formatting.

    Thanks boss.

Manual provision of VPS is not atypical? Alright. Perhaps we should send pigeon mail to Microsoft if we want to shutdown and reboot our PC?

sorry, read too fast and thought we were talking about a dedicated server. The only time I run into manual reinstalling a VPS is with managed services

Regardless of Korea, the Supreme Leader must be obeyed:
