Nope, DHL has no idea where one of our packages has been since last week—again, just great. So now we have two nodes but no drives. ( this is the 3'rd time this happened to us in 2024, I just love them <3 ).

Probably we will sort this out by the end of the month.

Does that mean new deals are coming out by the end the month?

    Ladies / Gents / Guys......

We strongly encourage VPS transfers, especially for the 5TB plan, and I want to emphasize that this particular plan will no longer be provisioned.

There is indeed a $5 transfer fee on our end, but considering the deal—5TB for $12.50 per quarter (just $0.83 per TB per month)—it’s a great value from our perspective. ( or 45 USD / year )

Here are the full specs of the service:

    2 vCPU Xeon V4
    2 GB DDR4 RAM
    20 GB NVMe Boot Drive
5 TB HDD Storage (RAID 6)
    1 Dedicated IPv4
    1 Dedicated IPv6 (with /64 upon request)
    1 Gbps Internet (best effort)
18TB traffic, reduced to 100 Mbps after usage depletion

So, if you're not satisfied or no longer need it, instead of letting it go to waste, consider putting it up for transfer so others can take advantage of it.

Also, make sure to enable 2FA as we’ve had a few incidents involving weak passwords. 2FA will help protect your account and save you from a lot of hassle.

Finally, we still have some software fixes and patches to apply, along with payment gateway modifications, so this week will be quite busy for us.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact us, here, DM, ticket...... pigeon message???? :D

Well, they might end up as frozen pigeon popsicles by the time they finish the trip, but hey, if they’re the 2024 edition with heated wings, they just might make it. :D

Sorry, certainly not mine, that will have to be preyed out of my claws when I die.

Seriously though, I'm just amazed by my host_c storage VPS, in fact so much so that I'm very likely to not renew my liteserver backup VPS which I like(d) a lot but the @host_c VPS (a) has multiple times the storage volume, (b) has 2 vCores (vs. only 1), (c) has very significantly higher performance per vCore, and (d) is just about half the price.
And I don't see a risk either (e.g. "east-european provider") because host_c has a very professional attitude and from what I've seen there were no significant complaints at all here on LET (neither did/do I have any. I'm a really perfectly happy camper).

Side note re. (b) and (c) ("processor performance"): I'm still wondering if host_c is mildly insane or if I am. Reasons: I was and still am perfectly happy with the performance of my (other) backup servers, typically E5 v4 and one even just v2, so in my eyes those dual cores, and fast ones at that are pure luxury.

So, sorry, my experience with both the VPS and the provider/support is so outstandingly positive that you'll have to find someone else for the desired transfer. I guess your best and possibly only chance is a customer who upgrades to a larger VPS (not me, for me 5TB is plenty enough, actually even way more than I need).

We’ve taken into account that some users will utilize the service for backups, others for personal video streaming, and some for general usage with plenty of storage space. Our goal is to provide a versatile solution for day-to-day needs, which is why we offer 2 vCores (also to keep up with those crazy 1700+ Ryzen 1vCore Geekbench 6 scores).

We also strive to use the latest V4 models and newer Xeon Gold processors, which offer higher memory bandwidth. This ensures the VPS experiences minimal virtualization performance loss, translating into better overall performance.

Reliability, stability, and performance—exactly in that order—are what drive us every day. After all, if a service isn’t reliable, it’s unusable, whether it costs $7 or $100.

There’s more to come, so stay tuned!

PS: @jsg - there is a small amount of insanity for sure :D
