Has anyone tried any of these servers from ReliableSite?

    • Intel Special (RD 32GB)
    • Intel Special 64GB (RD 64GB)

I opened a ticket asking which generation CPU I’d get. I know it’ll be either an i5, i7, or Xeon, but my question was about which generation I’d receive if I placed an order. The account specialist, Ajay K., responded with this:

“ Please note that Intel special servers are intel CPUs that achieve a target benchmark score. Specific CPUs are not promised.A Ryzen CPU is not Intel..”

It felt like a scripted response.

Anyway, I replied and just asked if there’s a chance I could end up with a first-gen i5/i7, because nobody wants a 15-year-old CPU. I also politely asked them to forward the ticket to someone who could answer my question.

Now it feels like I’m being ignored. I just need to know what range of CPU generations they usually have in stock.

    Like MrRadic mentioned...
I got Intel i7-4790 when I ordered mine in Miami.

We're building more, in the meantime, we launched a 2 Gbps Unmetered offer for $19/mo. Take a look at the top banner at https://www.reliablesite.net/dedicated-servers/ for details!

Me wishing I could do this on my Intel Special Dedi but it's limited to $60+ dedis. :D

These are crazy deals. I wish it could be paired with Intel Special 64GB but it's $59 >:)

I'm sure multi-threaded Iperf3 will have higher speeds, however for single-threaded tcp, the further away you are, the more of an impact it has, which I don't think can be avoided.
