Based on searching this LET these late 2 days , it seems Netcup had repeatable issues and YABS from 2020 showing the performance still in par with Contabo,
while Contabo is so reputable in this LET (for their down side of course :)))

Guess no other option, Hetzner or Dedicated

That's a bit of an exaggeration. Netcup isn't perfect, but comparing it to contabo isn't right.

Otherwise, if you have no constraints on processor architecture.
You can test their ARM range, I've had stable performance since day one.

Yes .. Contabo is way too much downside comparing these two

I had one with VPS 1000 ARM G11 @ NUE
Maybe you are in good host node
    Check your VPS with Yabs

IOPS showing 100MB/sec for Write and Read after 00.00am Germany Time in Sunday and Saturday happening too. Don't know which users might abuse it with load of transfers and probably weekly backup.

During Office Hours in Germany Time,
it will get dropped for the Performance GB6 Score,
Network QoS started initiated pretty bad. You will get limitation of TCP Sent per Session or per Stream.
I am just testing it to Asia, since I am originating from Asia through DE-CIX.

3 different nodes showing the same.

    • Inside LayerAE Singapore
    • Telkom Indonesia
    • Datacamp Linode Singapore

I raised tickets mentioning this to Netcup
    They just replied " Don't Understand "

    It's so funny
Maybe if MONEY$ is just they understood completely

Your MONEY$ is what They Understood, but Complaints, Never Understood.

  • I think Nuremberg node is in Big Problem
As other Location Node of Root Server did not suffer the same issue
I am taking this after Singapore Office Hour ended.
Germany is still lunch hour time.

Austria is 13-14 ms latency different from Frankfurt
Nuremberg is 3-4ms latency different from Frankfurt
Amsterdam is 7-8 ms latency different from Frankifurt

If latency and Traffic Limit of other VPS / Root Server could beat Netcup
I would be signing off from Netcup immediately

  • IOPS

Disk R/W for 600-700MB/s is normal and acceptable for me, maybe too slow for others who depend on MySQL alot.

    But for ARM 100MB/sec ?
is a race against for the Contabo on downside :)) LoL
