Thank you. I was not aware they had a knowledge base. I seemed to find there other information too.
@NameCrane thank you for the generous offer.
"To claim, hit the 'Open Ticket' button and provide proof of your service with MyW - so screenshot/invoice/etc. https://namecrane.com/contact-us"
I tried to submit a ticket, but got no confirmation on screen, nor an email - it went straight to the login page after I clicked to submit (maybe I spent too long on the page?). I decided to register with you at that point. Should I submit another ticket while logged in with my newly registered account? I'm asking here to avoid duplicating tickets.
Glad you like it, it's one of the better projects i've coded as of late.
Let me know if you run into any quirks/edge cases and we'll help. I know there was some issue with DA<>DA internal transfers, but I think I fixed it.

Can I ask a dumb question.. what other than ability to sell a hosting account with isolated login is the advantage of a reseller account at @NameCrane than a shared one? For less money the highest shared one has a bit less space but double the CPU and RAM?
I signed up to reseller and seems great, but would shared have been better? I do charge clients for hosting but they never login to their hosting panel.
i migrated few accounts to Namecrane under my reseller from MyW that were from my website design customers. so far so good.
but some account on MyW were which i sold advertised at 2 CPU, 2GB RAM.
Now @NameCrane does have 2GB RAM, but only 1 CPU per subaccount in DA.
So I can't "downgrade" my customer plan (though no one uses 2CPU, but it was given a default by MyW) as I don't know what reason should I tell to my customers.
I have reseller for personal use. For me, the only benefit is that each account is isolated in terms of RAM/CPU limits. So, one website can't use too much ram and throttle all the others.
With clients, a shared account would be a disaster. If clients can get a PHP script installed, I think they could use it to mess with other clients sites because they're all controlled by the same unix account.
I also split my personal sites to different accounts for security reasons. If one site, lets say WP plugin, has any issues, only this one site will be affected. Previously I was using single hosting for all, bad things would happen...
@mwt exactly like @MrEd said, with shared especially if you go up you get a stronger single account for 1 domain for less, good if you have a big site, but if you want to run a lot of domains from it, it might get super slow because they will all be sharing the same resources, if you go with reseller you can have in the same account lots of different domains all isolated from each other, thats why reseller is more expensive, because you get more resources in general and its easier to sell...
Maybe some provider can clarify if this is true. I thought a reseller has some global resources allocated to the reseller account, not to each user account.
I was under the impression that resellers most time had per account resource limits (ram etc), not per resellers. At least all resellers I used so far (Brixly, Ramnode, MyW, others)
This depends on the panel/setup used by the provider you are working with... In some cases its a just resource allocation to the reseller, in others its a resource allocation to the reseller - with the option to manage how resources are allocated to "sub-accounts".
Hope this helps!
For example from what I understand with a provider like NameCrane, there is a resource limit on reseller (established by the reseller plan itself), and another resource limit on users (set by reseller owner).
For example the knowledgebase of NameCrane clearly states a limit 1.5 CPU for reseller account, and 1 CPU maximum for each user account of reseller. The RAM has 2GB for reseller, and users can also have 2GB from that. This does not mean that each user of reseller gets 2GB each and 1 CPU separately; instead they get the same 2GB from reseller plan.
I like to see the reseller as a VPS, where one gets allocated let's say 1.5CPU Cores and 2GB of RAM to use on all processes, yet one can limit some sub-process to use 20% CPU and 100MB RAM if they want.

Sorry everyone maybe i wasn't super clear, even a reseller account will have a overall limit to the entire account and of course that will be shared between all the sub-accounts under the reseller account... its not
Just that on a reseller account one sub-account reaching its limit normally doesn't take out all the remaining sub-accounts under the same reseller, while on a shared host account it will always take everything down...
Crates are per reseller, budget plans are per account (but lower).

While you are here, can we ask support for a switch from shared to reseller in the future and still benefit discount (for sure going from 50% shared to 30% reseller, which would be normal)? I'm not sure I need reseller yet and wish to start with shared for as long as it works for me and then move to reseller if I feel more needs. I FOMO on your offer ˆˆ.
@NameCrane would have to confirm but I would assume the discount only sticks inside a category. You can’t bound between resellers and shared while still carrying it.
Or, it’s a “move from shared to reseller, but not the other way around”.

I wanted to know one technical question about DA to DA (namecrane to namecrane) migration tool.
We don’t allow this at the moment. It would likely work but not tested it. For now we block it outright.

I have three 100G reseller accounts in three regions of MyW, but because I just did it with an investment mentality, the cumulative storage usage in the three regions did not exceed 5G. Now it seems that this may be a failed investment.
For the short term (~1 month), MyW is not going away yet as @jar has paid the bills for the next month or so. See the following posts:
Lifetime plans are always a gamble and not meant for critical or production projects.
As fortunate as it was that MyW was saved at the last minute, it seems to be more of a "we're-keeping-MyW-on-life-support" situation. In another thread, someone said that the license for Softaculous had expired, and I'm not sure whether this is the only such issue
I suspect that as general advice, if this is a crucial service for someone, it would make sense to try to migrate to another provider
It's just some delays in the ownership transition of all the parts. Can't buy a license for an IP when one just expired for it I guess, gotta get the login or get support. Surely the login will be the faster of the two.
Just to be clear, I'm sure that you're trying to do what you can do
There are comments in threads going back many weeks about this or that license having expired (Softaculous being one of them), so if this is/was an issue for someone, it was already an issue well before you came onboard
Does this mean each account in the reseller gets 2GB RAM? So if there's three accounts, upto 6GB? The limit is total 1.5 CPU for all accounts combined?

Today is the last day of this extremely rare offer (generated by emotions caused by a closing brand of a respectful member of our fine community).
Nowadays, one does not get to often see such offers from the brands of our stallion. This is just a heads-up with regards to a highly exclusive offer's ending.
Meanwhile: there are other hosting offers too in this thread if one does not wish to grab this one. I mean no disrespect towards other providers.
Hi you,
Hosting is slow and cannot login now
https://prnt.sc/KvrsNtfZC-Rr
I want to refund. Please.
Once and if you get refund, try @NameCrane it is just better.
Maybe it is best to wait for Black Friday offers.
