down 1 minute = losing hundreds of millions of dollars
Welp, it's down again
Hi, yes, we are currently experiencing a network upstream outage in London. Our billing panel is hosted in London temporarily during migration off-site, hence that being offline.
Our status page has an update on it now and we're working on a solution as soon as possible. We will provide an RFO when resolved. As of right now we're back online.
Speedypage seem to have quietly moved their UK location (yet again) - it now appears to be single homed to Netwise ( https://bgp.tools/prefix/45.139.227.0/24#connectivity )
What happened to Datapacket, and what DDoS mitigation is now in place on this location?
No response @speedypage ?
Was this caused by Zayo/EUNetworks fiber works by any chance ? (just wondering, have no service)
Hi.
We did move the facility from Cyxtera LHR2 to Netwise East (approximately 2km distance between the two). An investment firm bought Cyxtera and renamed it Centresquare after deciding to increase our pricing by 50%. This made if unfeasible to remain there without significantly increasing our customer pricing. They were also out of space in the facility while we wanted to expand with more cabinets.
We still have DataPacket but Zayo is performing maintenance on our 2x100G dark fibre ring to THN from Netwise, so we are operating on backup right now. We believe this will return at some point this week.
