Its a money printing machine yes, however when I recall it correctly, the main reason they do that, is to prevent people or set the barrier higher, from you switching to a cheaper service.

I wonder how many 1GB RAM KVM servers would fit in one dedicated KS-A for providers to resell as low-end. Would that be profitable considering they pay just €5/month?

I just did the bookkeeping for all financial transactions involved with this:
1. Invoice recieved
2. Invoice paid
3. Credit invoice recieved
4. Credit invoice refunded to my personal card
5. A transaction from me to my company, compensating it for the .1 EUR in currency exchange rate profits that I made on my card that by law belongs to my company (due to differences in the EUR/SEK rate during these 1,5 weeks)
Absolutely not worth not even getting the server, 3/10, would not try again

The US site has also been updated, I don't know why it took so long? Maybe they finally cancelled all the orders and had some time?

Can we get some sort of update on the KS-A situation?
A lot of people got there order cancelled so it would be nice to know if you have plans on restocking it at some point or it was a one time deal with out stock?
If there’s a plan to restock it will it be back in other locations?
I’m sure people have further questions but a simple yes or no to a restock would be great as my fingers are hurting from pressing F5 23 hours a day.
I have tried contacting OVH support but unsurprisingly very unhelpful and didn’t seem to know much about anything.

@allthemtings they will not be restocked again! Maybe we can see something when BF starts but there will be again cancelled orders.
haha they only did it for marketing. I got my orders cancelled after waiting for 10 days without any notification.

I ordered a KS-4 in RBX. The 17 € "base" model with 16Gb RAM and 2x2Tb HDD.
The HDDs are actually 2x4Tb which is nice. They are 6 years old which is less nice but smartmontools says I'll be ok.
There is IPMI, but it's the Java applet thing, and I don't have Java installed. Also, this is a Java Web Start application, which has been deprecated.
There is Serial Console over LAN.
I see the option to add more IPV4 but I have not done it.
There's an option to "Bring Your Own image" when I reinstall. I haven't tried that either. I did try on a previous server a few years ago. It takes a cloudready image.
The fact that we get this info from a user on page 24 and not from @OVH_APAC while they’re active & posting deals is honestly sad.
