Black Friday 2024 expectations

We are just a couple months away from the next Black Friday season of offers. I'm curious what people's expecations are for upcoming deals? Do you have a price point for specific resources you are holding out for? Is there a certain provider you have been wanting to sign up with but only if you can get those sweet, sweet Black Friday prices? Or maybe you are looking to upgrade your old and slow Xeon instances to newer and faster Ryzen ones? How many deals do you plan to take advantage of? I know for me personally, I bought way more than I needed last year just because the deals felt too good to pass up. Then I just idled them the whole year.
Providers are welcome to chime in and give some teasers or inside baseball data on how they come up with their BF deals.

Maybe, $12/year reseller hosting plan?
Well maybe some $7 chicken deals like we had in the last BF.
I have to face a lot of hosting renewals. I have accumulated some VPS over the years, which I haven't used but still renewed.
I wish some providers would offer paid transfers. That way I can let go of some VPS and move on. 👊
will be looking to get dedicated outside the us. missed ks-a and gigahost just a few minutes ago
What sort of specs do you expect to see on a $7 chicken?
Costco chicken?
Yeah, that gigahost offer was crazy good. Maybe some other providers will offer something along the same lines for BF?
2-3 Deadpool deals
Maybe some usual purple daddy deals
Something as soon as @jar 's deal last year but for VPS
He handles all of our companies emails for $3/3 years
That's $1 a year, absolutely crazy deal, the guy gets a lot of credits for his service but it's probably still not enough
Also had some issues with receiving mail, turned out to be the issue of the sender, his support even helped me figure out the issue of the other 3rd party. Great provider
You are absolutely right, I mainly think about servers (VPS or dedicated) when it comes to Black Friday deals but I also utilize MXRoute and have been super happy with it. I wasn't lucky enough to get the $3/3 years deal but even the deal I got at $5/year is totally worth it in my opinion.
So how would that sort of deal translate to a VPS deal in your mind? I mean even deadpool offers aren't $1/year for 1c1gb level servers. With all the $10/year 1c1gb offers lately (which are amazing deals in their own right) I'd personally love to see some 2c/2gb instances for around $11-$12/year this BF.
Yes, that would be awesome
I'd also like to see some fair deals from reputable providers for a little beefier servers, such as 2c2gb. Preferably on modern Intel Core's and/or AMD Ryzen's with good single core
Honestly also 2c4g with a bit larger NVMe (like 80-120G)
Maybe a limited dedicated offer that can beat the likes of last year's OVH GAME-1 deal and Hetzner's regularly priced EX44, that'd be really nice (but not getting my hopes up for that)
It will be very limited resources wise
@WebProject Who knows right now? Let's wait for Black Friday, maybe something special will come up.
But what is it ? A fashion ?

We might have some older Ryzens and Intel servers that we need to clear out. Inventory is still fairly low though.
2-3 LET dramas before and 5-6 after
$7
I think this is going to be my first year when I will not ask for anything. This year we stepped into a huge economic recession with leaders who don't care about the lives of their own citizens. I wish to be mindful not to destroy the small low-end businesses when asking for some crazy offers on Black Friday.
Maybe I am just tired of summer hosts and popcorn dramas, but with energy prices going up and a cost of living becoming more difficult while funding wars and immigration; I believe providers need some rest and some time to recalculate future offers wisely and not allow themselves to get carried away by special events of spiritual roots.
Oops I didn't realize there was another BF thread already going on. I must have missed it, my apologies.
market pricing in Sweden
BF request:
Maybe acquire or partner with an existing provider. . . .
Thanks!
@FAT32
That is quite the list.
I hope they all come to fruition for you.
double bandwidth ?
Who needs Black Friday when you already have KS-A?
This year I will focus on easily managing hosting providers that support DMCA, and I have used cloudcone products in the past few years. I may cancel some products and continue to renew.
