$5/mo for the VDS 1 is the offer. This is not a VPS, it is VDS it's not the same. VPS are shared, VDS are dedicated.

    The rest is informational.

    VPS Rules

    Offer thread rules apply.

Only post offers that are less than or equal to $10/month, or equivalent recurring.

If you've been in business for less than a year, the maximum billing period allowed is quarterly ($30/quarter).

For businesses older than one year the maximum term is three (3) years.

This is not a VPS, again, if you do not know what VDS is, then do your homework.

You're wrong. A VDS is not a dedicated server as you stated above.

A dedicated server is defined as the user having access to all resources. A VDS is a VPS but with pinned cores etc. Sometimes, ;).

A VDS shares resources on a dedicated server with other users / neighbours.

This is for VDS, not VPS, nor Dedicated Servers. I never mentioned dedicated server, it's dedicated resources.

Are you saying that a VPS shared resource server is the same as a VDS dedicated resources server?

You need to do more research as to what a VDS is.

Similarly, what is a cloud instance server? What is dedicated cloud instance? This is the difference between VPS and VDS. Get it?

VDS do not overcommit cores, do not allow RAM ballooning, do not thin provision storage. Look into it.

If I do not have root login to baremetal it's VPS (per forum rules). You can call it how ever you like it

I am saying that trying to say your offer is within the rules because it's a dedicated server not a VPS is nonsense.

    I explained the difference above.

Furthermore, your WHOIS is private and there is no registered business information or address on your website. Not even in your terms. You claim to be a NGO on Twitter.

You should go and read the rules again.

Not VPS, it's VDS, again. Please do your research. VPS will never guarantee performance of what you are buying, because it's shared resources, VDS will because it provides dedicated resources. While still virtualized, it is effectively dedicated resources.

Sorry if you don't like VDS prices, but they come with cost, because every hypervisor resource is dedicated to that VDS as allocated, hence, more costly.

slap whatever label you want its a virtual private server. no matter how you slice the resources i wont get the full CPU cache or memory bandwidth so its by definition a shared environment. dont argue with me go argue with the people who wrote the rules

    ive reported your post

  • proper dog dung prices ngl. $30 for a Xeon vps my lord

  • Hey @mw what is the problem here? We support charities, nonprofits, ngo, and educational institutions with discounts. We are registered as an LLC in Wyoming, if twitter says we are actually an NGO, that is not completed yet. NGO status is complex and takes time. Whois is indeed private, as it is a default. If you do not like it, you do not have to buy or recommend even. But I can tell you, if you have VPS and wonder where your performance is gone, well, it's shared so be it.

  • wow you guys are either arrogant or cant read the rules

i dont care that youre larping as a charity yet operate as a for profit business but rules apply to everyone

  • @mw Sorry you dont like the what you call "VPS for $5/month" which is actually VDS. What is your problem again?

  • Please, find a VDS with the same resources as VDS 1 for $5/ month. Thank you all!

You want me to remove the VDS 2 VDS 4 and VDS 6 in the post? Fair enough. I would if I could, but editing is disabled. I will reach out to the team to see why I cannot edit it.

When applying, please include your LowEndTalk username, the link to your public company registration in your country of registration, your company number, a link to your website and public WHOIS information.

How did they even get a tag? Their account is four days old. There is no business information listed anywhere on the website.

you also have your WHOIS private and dont have any information about your company public on your website which is also against the rules

how is LET handing out provider tags for $200 without even doing due diligence on the hosts advertising before giving them their tags…

Where at OVH and kimsufi? Good luck with network quality and support being of any help at all. Plus you dont get snapshots.

Anyway, was meaning to edit this as all the comments have blasted profanity about VDS costing more than $10/month for whatever personal reasons you have. Rules are you must post offers for VPS at $10 or less per month, I get that. The offer is for $5 /month and $10 / month. Again, I am looking into editing this offer so that you are all feeling cozy and not offended. Waiting on support from the team.
