VPS for everything

Hey y'all!

Can you help me?

I want to buy cheap VPS all-in-one :D
For testing purposes, VPN, games servers etc.

I already used Contabo, but the performance was shitty, especially for the game server. Otherwise, it was not very bad for testing purposes. Not going to buy again, i think

Now I have VPSs on GreenCloud, satisfied, except for one thing - they cannot be used for heavy loads, including game servers

Please advise some VPS providers that allow high load and game servers
from 24gb of RAM

I found Netcup, the VPS 3000 G11 and VPS 4000 G11 tariffs are not bad in terms of cost
HostHatch not bad either
Do they allow a highload usage? Are they better than Contabo in terms of performance?

You can try our VPS's, we have hourly billing, so you can just do your tests deploying big or small vm's and you will spend just few cents. :)

You should consider VDS where resources are dedicated and 100% cpu core utilization is allowed.

    check vds offers with

I understand that "semi-dedicated", "VDS", where resources are not shared, is the best option. But their cost is correspondingly high. I would not say that I definitely need VDS, because it is the high load that is not used so often
But in any case, thank you

By the way. Sometimes I think about having 1 inexpensive server for the most necessary one, and if necessary, connect an hourly server via API from some provider.

I agree, Ryzen 9950x has the highest single thread computational power.

Having said that Ryzen 7950x is close second.

As everyone said, you really want a VDS or a dedicated server. VPS for this isn't recommend unless you are doing things one at a time and not all at once.
People recommended many providers here that are good. Either get a ryzen VDS for the high single cores performance, or get a Epyc VDS so you can split up your multi tasks/application on cheaper but still really good multiple cores.
Ryzen - less cores, but amazing performance, less cores for the $$$.
Epyc - more cores, still good/great performance, more cores for the $$$.
What I use for my game servers (Minecraft, V-Rising, pal world, and even running XRDP) is @SolidSeoVPS https://lowendtalk.com/discussion/192644/64-95-m-ryzen-dedicated-server-8gb-epyc-deals-starting-60-year/p1
Tho, only half the cores you get are dedicated. If you go with any providers that are not all dedicated cores make sure you pin your high CPU apps (game servers) to the dedicated ones and low CPU ones (VPN) to the shared.

Ditch Contabo ASAP please. They are awful.

  • Please tell me how contracts work in Netcup
If the contract is for a year, and the billing is monthly, then I will pay monthly, right? And will I be able to cancel the contract, for example, after six months, having paid in just six months?
I just didn't quite understand this policy. If you buy for a month, then the payment is monthly. And if the contract is for a month, then the payment is still monthly...

    No.

People don’t get that contract for a duration of months and required to pay for remaining time frame of contract not just after 3 months be able to stop. Some German providers do required to write a letter (not email!) to cancel a contract, so check the T&Cs before signing up.

Agreed with @sh97 and @dev_vps, if you want guaranteed performance, you should consider VDS. At CharityHost.org we service USA VDS instead of VPS to provide the performance reliability since customer satisfaction is very important to us. But that does come with a price tag that is clearly not the cheapest you will find.

  • PjottertjahPjottertjah Member, Host Rep

Hey! I see many offers have been made so far, but I'll make mine nevertheless
I've got quite some hardware available ready for these kinds of VM's. All servers are equipped with AMD Ryzen 5 CPU's, 3200MHz DDR4 RAM and NVMe storage. Additional IPv4 addresses are possible! Based on your exact needs, the pricing is around the 2eu/GB/mo RAM, with related amount of CPU power and storage included. It is possible to have scheduled back-ups made of your VM as well (Weekly and daily, e.g.)
If you decide to require a hole lot of power, it is possible to rent an entire dedicated, e.g. with 64GB RAM and 512GB NVMe storage for 75eu/mo

Feel free to send me a DM or a message on discord: pjottertjah
