How to subscribe to a forum category (OR) get notifications for new threads

Hi,

I want to get notified (via email) when new threads are created in certain forums like "Offers" but there's no such option as far as I can see.

Is there any way to get notified for new threads in select forums?

    Hi,

I want to get notified (via telephone) when new threads are created with certain properties like "drama" but there's no such option as far as I can see.

Is there any way to get notified for new threads with select properties?

If you can live with telegram notifications for new offer threads:

    Not for obvious safety reasons
This feature has not been developed to avoid ending up with 200 vps that we don't need.

More seriously, I don't think it's possible, but I know that there are certain trackers and telegram channels that repost all the offers.

How do you read that feed these days?

I have a self-hosted feed reader installed. Was using LET RSS for a while, but three years ago or so it began returning 403 from Cloudflare. Never worked since then.

  • I also track the feed for offers here and other forums:

I have the same problem with FreshRSS, it works for VPSSLIM Webhosting and not for NameCrane Webhosting. I guess the biggest difference between the two might be ipv6.

But when I changed the program to selfoss, it worked for NameCrane Webhosting.

This is just Cloudflare blocking bot IPs from hosts with a lot of its users scraping content from cloudflare proxied websites.

Just use a mobile or desktop RSS feed reader, that is what I do.

But selfoss worked for NameCrane Webhosting. So is it a problem with Cloudflare blocking rules?

Clean IPs usually because they are used for the webhosting plans.

Update: Just noticed that the problem was with FreshRSS. I think this is related:

    @jbiloh please fix RSS.
It's not meant for human consumption, so you should set these endpoints to allow bots scraping.

One of my irc bots parses feeds to a channel then i have highlights in my irc client for things I want.
