    Sure but getting one of these would reduce my running costs whilst also allowing me to expand at the same time.

    The KS-A is extremely amazing value and I was pissed that I woke up to it literally selling out.

    My want and need is matching here and OVH sold out within minutes.

    Almost nobody will price match or find anything equivalent in stock. Sucks that yes we would get scalped but I'm not wanting to pay insane money for it. Besides... I'd rather buy it from someone who would just idle it as I would certainly put it to good use.

    We would recommend you to accept our request for cancellation of your order and place another order from another data center location from where the delivery time of the product you are looking for is way faster.

    We would like to confirm with you about the refund, where will you want us to refund back the amount, directly to your source account or OVH Prepaid account which can be further used to purchase new services or can be used in renewals of your services as well.

    Seems they want to refund and get it over with..

    Yeah, seems fair

    Their stance: ”keep quiet and wait your turn or have your money back”

    It’s not perfect, but at least they offer you all money back no questions asked

    Only thing that’s a little annoying to me is that they don’t seem to offer the invoice until service is delivered

    If they haven't cancel (y)our invoice yet, that means they still want to keep you and most likely it is not a pricing error either.

    its a $5 dedi, I'm not expecting them to air ship the parts all the way from uganda. However, Would've been nice to know that it will take time or like a specific update like "hey, we're having the parts shipping from xyz, may take two weeks" rather than the initial, "we are checking the order" blah blah..

    A bit of transparency won't hurt, Eitherway, I'm willing to wait it out soz

  • I got a msg from my Account Manager at OVH, who I haven't spoken to in 2 years (lmao) since I buy all my OVH servers from Andy10gbit now, but he doesn't know if the offer is a mistake or not, and also he is not able to place any new orders. He has some internal tool to check the exact stock of each server model, and said that the KS-A had a stock of -2128 lol. How quickly they build 2k servers of that model is questionable.

  • I don't think it's a pricing error, they likely would have corrected the checkout page by now. It was clear at that price they were going to sell very quickly though.

    I actually had someone contact me from OVH who wanted to meet up and discuss our needs. I just remembered I could contact the guy and ask him about the stock for these but you already did! Didn’t even think about that. Thanks!

    I mean, if it ends up taking weeks or months, A LOT will probably end up getting cancelled by request of the client, making the queue smaller even without taking new deployments into account.

    OVH is known to sell more inventory than they currently have in stock.
    However 2k sounds a bit to much, if true thought, no stock probably until next week or more.

    There will always be cheap servers... some of them will even be delivered, but it's not about servers. :D

  • I was there for the original 3.99€ dedi release 11 years ago. It took many months to deliver all the servers. It's great that they are focusing more on value again, but sadly the next cheapest server is 21€ including VAT + 21€ setup fee. :(
