Cheap storage-oriented hosting with good bandwidth

I am looking for a cheap storage-oriented VPS host with good bandwidth to manage my "content".
I would be running my own personal streaming service but without transcoding so I don't need much CPU power.
Budget is around $5/mo, the lesser the better!

How much storage you needing?
location?
If NAT is fine hostbrr has a 1TB vps located in Finland for 3.75$/m
aff link
non-aff link
or if you're expecting copyright take-down letters go with @Calin
https://panel.ihostart.com/index.php?rp=/store/storage
Storage - As much as I can get, looking for the best bang for the buck.
Location - Doesn't really matter as long as it has good speed and bandwidth
The one from @Calin looks really nice, only "con" is that it goes above my budget
Hostbrr's 1TB VPS sounds a bit expensive, especially with no dedicated IPv4.
Well, with 5$ budget you don't have much options. I'd invest a few more bucks and go with Calin, especially if you're gonna stream copyrighted content.
If you can slightly up your budget by $1.
Crunchbits

EDIT: We are a US company, so the distribution of copyrighted content is prohibited.
+1 for @crunchbits
Highly recommended
Thanks for the review, but it's a bit over my budget and the offering is not impressive when compared to Calin's.
I will wait for more offers.
the upside is that the crunchbits server will be actually reachable
check with @host_c
Calin's server goes down often?
Too expensive and out of stock... unless they have some special offers for LEB users?
lol
You may really want to read reviews of thr provider you choose. It's easy to set a low budget and pick a provider that matches it but you may be surprised at the end on the quality of the same.
If it is too good to be true, you know it is.
Ddo your due diligence and check the latest offer threads.
When people give a positive or negative feedback, take it seriously but also with a grain of salt.
Does the storage box works for you?
1 TB -> $4 per month
That's just hosted storage without any compute, I need a proper server with compute. If I just wanted a network drive I can get Hetzner's "storage box" for cheaper too.
Probably the best offer within your budget:
They also have both the larger "regular" plans and the "expanding" ones, where not only bandwidth, but the disk space as well grows daily.
For the latter the entry level price is the same.
Finally another nice offer with good storage!
Not sure about the unlimited expanding offer, they might go out of business until that 500 GB disk turns into 2TB LOL.
But I noticed this thing on their order page:
What is this? Do they put your node in another country or something? Why would the performance be less? And how much?
What if I want to torrent for personal reasons with a VPN?
Yes, you're then provisioned in https://mzunguhosting.ml/
Sorry, couldn't resist...

go for @host_c
Contact him privately, I believe he will make you a good offer.
Hi,
https://layer7.net/cloud-server -> Shared Xeon in Paris
with 1 TB additional disk = 5,12 EUR / month
If you pay 3 / 6 / 12 months in advance you can get additional 5 / 10 / 20% discount while maintaining a monthly contract.
@layer7 The limited speed and bandwidth is a deal breaker, sorry. Disk space is also not impressive.
Hi,
well then all i can do is to wish you good luck with that budget to find something that has no downsides....
If you specify exactly what you're looking, you'll get a lot of offers.
Like the exact specs I want? I'll give it a try:
if your budget is still 5$, you should increase it. You're not gonna find offers for these exact specs with a price of 5$/m
>
That's why I didn't mention exact specs, basically I'm looking for the best bang for the buck deal I can get. I can also go a bit over 5 bucks if it's a good deal.
Good luch with these specs!
