Best specs for 7$/month (84$/y)

I'm finding better specs if available with this price. Current I have 4 x Ryzen 5950x, 16GB ram and 100gb ssd for 7.5 eur/ month, and 6 epyc 26gb ram 300gb ceph for 9 eur/month. I'm looking for better deals. Thank you guys so much.

Thtat's already great deals. Especially the 5950X but the EPYC as well tbh.

VPS specs of "EvosHosting" is very competitive, in EU.
VPS specs of "HostTheBest", "RackNerd" are very competitive, in USA.
VPS specs of "Layer", "GreenCloud" are very competitive, in Asia & elsewhere.

As price vary by different country/zone/continent/volume-deals/etc ... so if possible please mention where you want this VPS/Dedi.

I mention the above ones , as they have sufficient proficiency to even do/support BYOIP / BGP-Announcement etc for KVM VPS, ( except the GreenCloud, as they said, right now they dont support BGP-Announcement).

SSD drive storage & SSD stick storage has some big differences.
Both has internal SSD in them.
But their interface circuitry speed/bandwidth/lanes are different , & has different speed , & their price is also different.
SSD (storage) drive SCSI can have data speed 1200 MB/sec, usually 600 MB/s.
SSD (storage) drive SATA can have data speed 600 MB/sec.
SSD (storage) stick (aka NVMe) in PCIe card, based on PCIe card type & based on SSD Stick type , can have different speed : PCIe 3 type can have 900 MB/s (when using x1 lane) , can be 4000 MB/s (when using x4 lanes) , PCIe 4 type can have 1800 MB/s (when using x1 lane), can be 8000 MB/s (when using x4 lanes) , PCIe 5 type can have 16000 MB/s (when using x4 lanes) ... MORE INFO.

    CPU's ability to crunch/process arithmetic+alphabetic math+data , and floatingPoints+alphabetic math+data , encryption/decryption , multi processor/core link speed , ... are different in different CPU & in their cores ... so they have huge difference in scoring.

    RAM can be DDR3 ( DDR3-2000 : 16GB/s ) or DDR4 ( DDR4-3000 : 24GB/s ) or DDR5 ( DDR5-5200 : 41GB/s ) etc type ... so have different data-processing speed capabilities.

CORRECTION : NVMe can be in stick form (M2, U2, U3, EDSFF, etc) , & can also be in SSD drive form.
NVMe stick storage or NVMe SSD drive storage uses PCIe interface/card : and based on PCIe card type & based on SS (slid-state) Stick/Drive type , can have different data speed : PCIe 3 type can have 900 MB/s (when using x1 lane) , can be 4000 MB/s (when using x4 lanes) , PCIe 4 type can have 1800 MB/s (when using x1 lane), can be 8000 MB/s (when using x4 lanes) , PCIe 5 type can have 16000 MB/s (when using x4 lanes) ...

To compare above with older tech:
HDD storage (which uses Ultra-DMA 133) can have 133 MB/s data speed , ( but usually write speed is less than 45 MB/s , and read speed is 133 MB/s ) . Some UDMA HDD has huge buffer RAM/memory which can (continuous) write slightly faster by holding it in buffer memory.

Different storage devices have different IOPS.

  • I have a VPS with @layer7 at 71.8 EUR/year (about 79 USD/year). 4 core EPYC Rome, 16GB RAM, 120GB NVMe. Average CPU steal 0,8% in last 30 days.

The ones you mentioned look like specials and very good IMO, at least CPU- and RAM-wise.

So the only options I'm aware of are better in terms of disk capacity, i.e. storage VPS aka backup space.

Is that of interest to you?

A bit of off-topic, if you don't mind: do you have any script installed, which monitors CPU steal continuously, or such average can be checked with some shell command?

  • Currently prepaid host offers 30% discount if you top up bonus credits, reducing their effective price to about 6,50€. If you are non EU, they also remove 20% VAT so you only pay about 5€/month for 26GB-6x-300GB

Yes, I'm currently using EvosHosting and GreenCloud but I don't want to put all my eggs into one basket, cause uptime at Evos is not very good.

I want better specs for CPU and RAM. Disk cap is not very important, just enough for daily use (80-100GB NVME is good)

The drama that comes with evos hosting just makes me turn away even if offers are appealing. There were some serious lapses or irregularities in last month. They are giving their best effort in rectifying it but it did put a bit dent.
