Met a scammer shopping on a forum!

Purchased the RDP for $30 and it has been unavailable since purchase, supposedly the site was hit by a DDOS attack and then the webmaster was online but didn't deal with the message and chose to ignore it, I don't think there's any chance of a site like this surviving as there's not an ounce of credibility to be found in it, it's just like a wimp!

    Its a known shit show recently at ihostart also, however atleast @Calin addresses his issues and takes accountability and actually tries to resolve them unlike other providers with node5 issues who have been on a scamming spree on here for a month solid

    I haven't used it for more than 1 day in the 15 days since I paid for it! This is the worst, I'm sorry bro we're experiencing both unpleasant problems!

    Since the RDP problem I have tried to contact him every day and every day he won't respond to messages and says that his site is being attacked by DDOS, 6 out of 7 days a week , it's not working at all and won't face the problem, which is one of the main reasons why I exposed him!

    If we talk about scamming... This was his STOR-4 node for months.


    I thought his old method of saving $$$ when he didn't have at the beginning was over, but nope. Credits where credits due, it's now fixed, thankfully.
    He's in Oradea, his servers are in Bucharest, but how can 18GB oversold RAM just slip through.

    The guy providing him with the DDoS filtering/mitigation/whatever you call it says it's an issue on Calin's Mikrotik router. Calin did a trip to Bucharest to upgrade his router, and still is a Mikrotik one. Since his mitigation is in Frankfurt, expect around 30ms increase to all locations & HTTP(S) traffic not working/barely working, SFTP barely working, constant packet loss...

    IMO issue here is, he claims to have over 1k customers, and these DDoS issues were also happening at his garage DC, not at this level since this seems like a highly targeted attack that doesn't seem to have any end, but he was aware of DDoS issues in the past. Why did he just think about it now? He can't leave all his clients offline, this is not a null-route IP and easy fix.

    I've talked about this with him, I genuinely think he's not a bad person, but just taking poor business decisions. Publicly laughing at them is nowhere helpful either, cause the attackers are clearly doing damage.

    I'm not against him for this, It's not (arguably) directly his fault, I'm fucking tired of these dickheads attacking almost 24/7 his network.

    Do keep in mind most of his customers were sold a package located in Oradea, under Orange's ASN (residential IP), and with functioning protocols (e.g UDP which is now blocked cause Zet is mad at him, although Calin never boldly claimed of supporting/blocking it)

    Hope he stands by what he advocates and doesn't kick me out for saying all of this. You won't find any better storage deals elsewhere, and the network when not being filtered is top-notch, the best one amongst all of my RO VPSs.

    Brother first of all I have no malicious intent, I have been giving him time to solve the problem, but I am very annoyed that he has not responded to the message, encountered problems I understand, I also stand in his point of view, his RDP configuration as well as the speed, it is undeniable that it is a better deal good to use, but was aimed at the DDOS attack, this is not my problem, I am as a user, I spent $ 40 dollars to buy RDP servers can not be used! , I'm just upset, I don't really care if he actually exceeds that value, the user has no experience!

The cowardly behavior of a user who purchased a $40 RDP server that doesn't work, and keeps the user offline every day, sending private messages to the site admin, as well as appeals, with no response, as well as not reading the messages, is hilarious to me! If I was an ex-employee of ihostart, I'd bury my head in the dirt instead of commenting on some of the nonsense that goes on here!

    If you want to help me I'm very happy, I feel very helpful to come to this forum, also if you want to solve it please ask Calin himself to come to this thread and reply and deal with it, not with “pro ceo of identity” recalling the problem of the post because you can't solve it, and if you can solve it, please let me know! Answer, give me a refund or, install a new server from scratch?
