You think Signal, the app that is open source and has significantly more advanced cryptographic capabilities than Telegram(which is not encrypted by default) and publishes their responses to all government requests on their site, is really the app that the US government wants you to use instead?

Independently on whether you like the host or not, I tend to believe he was telling the truth when he said that NSA was trying to persuade his team to use some open-source libraries in Telegram.

I'm running a Snikket Server for anyone of my friends who cares about privacy. For everyone else I've given in and just use WhatsApp. I have like 50 of my contacts on signal (10-20 of whom I know "well"). Yet I've never seen them use it, or even reply on signal lol

Very weird take. Telegram can click a button to kick out groups doing illegal stuff. A property owner can’t click a button to stop tenants who comitted a crime.
I think it's fair to say that a social media platform like Telegram should have some minimal amount of moderation. In the case of Telegram there is almost zero.
It's pretty telling that no other social media CEO has ever been arrested for issues like this, because as far as I'm aware literally every other social media platform has more stringent moderation standards than Telegram.
If X, Rumble, Truth Social and Gab don't have this problem, then Telegram must be really awful for prosecutors to want to prosecute this case.
So you want censorship, and yes the other platforms are all from western country's so yes they will not get arrested, how is it possible another country will prosecute me while I didn't even commit a crime in there country I was not even there ? You see this more often lately it's a bad thing happening.

If the landlord is either directly complicit or simply negligent regarding the tenant's actions, where they should have known and could have acted to prevent them, then they can be held legally accountable.
If the taxi driver is aware of the criminal activity but ignores it and continues to provide services to the criminal, they could easily be considered an accomplice to that criminal activity
In either case, by knowingly facilitating criminal activity, either by renting them a property or giving them a ride, it's criminal. The only excuse is not knowing about the criminal activity, and being able to show that you "reasonably" wouldn't have known about it, (else you can still be convicted due to negligence).
Assange, Kim Dotcom, and now Durov - I think Musk already knows who will be on his team on an expedition to Mars.
And, of course, professional "defenders" of rights and freedoms will fully support the brutal French state led by Macron in the name of "freedom", "equality" and "fraternity".
PS. But why Musk censored hashtag "telegram" in his X network? That is rhetorical question.
