Webtropia VPS virtualisacion

Hi,

Does anyone know which vps virtualization uses Webtropia ?
On their website, they don't say which virtualization they use, is it KVM or some other?

  • KVM but oversold, very low performance, similar to contabo

Well, that's what happens when the demand is very high, but people tend to want low prices. They oversell.
If a provider asks 10$ for a 2cpu 2gb ram dedicated VM, most people on this forum will ignore his offer and choose shady providers that offer same specs for 1$/year... Then what happens? First provider has to lower prices to make a sale.. but at a cost to the performance.

  • KVM, webtropia is a company of wiit. Network is fast but support reply takes 2 or 3 days, oversold servers (more than 80% server stealth). Snapshot takes more than 24 hours (restore of snapshot weeks). We use external services for our status webpage and client area. We do not recommend it. Try with contabo o servarica.

  • Thanks for the answers, I also think that Contabo does a similar thing as Webtropia.

The only one I see serious (from Germans - instead of Germany) is Hetzner and Netcup.
