Hey everyone,
I’ve got this Storage VPS that I’m not using anymore, and rather than letting it go to waste, I’d like to offer it to someone in the community. It’s free (8+ months remaining), though I thought I'd do something different -- I’m open to a trade if someone has something interesting idling.
Storage VPS - 4TB RAID-10
- vCPU: 4
- RAM: 4.00 GiB
- Boot: 20.00 GiB
- Storage: 4.00 TB
- Bandwidth: 20.00 TB/m
- Location: New York (can open a ticket to relocate for $15, iirc)
Looking for:
If your LET account has been around for at least 6 months, with 50 non-spammy comments and 25 thanks, you’re eligible!
First come, first served, but I’ll wait 24 hours to see if anyone has a trade offer.
Trade Ideas: (requirements don’t apply here)
- Immediate Trade: GreenCloud 9999 or 1010 in Buffalo, NY
- 24hr Trade: CrunchBits 4.5G (PA, preferred) or 3GB Yearly
What this means is, if you have an instance in the "immediate trade" section, it's yours.
If you have something in the "24hr trade" section, then it's yours after 24 hours as long as a better trade doesn't come along.
If no trades are offered, it goes to the first eligible comment.
Why not, right?
PS: I'll pay the transfer costs.

I'll take it for NY storage..
I'd like to take it off your hands, in case no one else does.
I don't understand why it's free.
It's yours as long as a trade doesn't come along!
Yours came in at the same time! lol, close.
I picked this up quickly as soon as HostHatch started their sale, but they had another storage deal (5TB) soon after that I paid triennially for w/ better specs. That plus I was fortunate enough to pick up a Host-C 10TB Promo. My storage needs are covered between those 2.
Also, I enjoy this community enough to see someone else here have it -- and I know it would be appreciated here. Like I said, why not?
I figured it was too generous, which is why I came up with the trade idea.. figured that would make it fair and interesting.
Close indeed. @plumberg can have it for the location, as I would have ticketed in for a relocation anyway
Thanks for the generous offer @stxsh.
I'm sorry to make it a trade again, because i quite need something to storage my data.My offer is 30$,not high, but we can discuss on it
i have no idea what the poorly described trade asks are. could you perhaps describe what youd trade for?
This is professional idling
Sorry, was really just planning on giving this away -- it's @plumberg's as long as a trade doesn't come along.
The trade idea was more so because I had been after one of these instances. I went to Uni at Buffalo and wanted an instance to donate to a professor there to host a project we worked on.. would be affordable for non-profit/fun and perfect for this need.. actually had another thread requesting it. Then I figured I've been after a CrunchBits yearly in PA so I threw that in there. Can't really think of anything I'd want in return -- was more so planning on giving it away but figured I'd make it interesting.
This guy gets it.
ok i take it youre not interested in a trade then
Fair enough.. send me a DM, I'd be open to similar compute vps offers in or around the tri-state area.
Will decide on a trade offer or give this away at 10PM EST tomorrow (8/21).
@stxsh
I can offer you crunchbits 3 gb vps paid for next 11 and ½ months
update
it is actually 6gb memory vps seattle location
Let me know if good enough for 🤝
This CrunchBits? Did you combine 2 instances? If so, that’s a solid and valid trade offer!
No I did not.
It was a special promo
Detailed YABS first thing tomorrow morning … US CST time
The China Beast? How did you even get it? Wow.
I wasn’t aware of this offer, just looked it up — great deal! I’ll honor the 24 hours but so far it’s yours at 10 EST.
cc: @plumberg
Thanks @stxsh
YABS for 6GB vps
@stxsh
Good morning!
The HostHatch server is already transferred to my account (thanks to the automated process)
and Crunchbits Server is being transferred to your account.
update
Crunchbits Server transfer is also done. Please verify in your account
Let me know when you want to transfer the another storage deal with 10TB Promo.
@hosthatch
This made me speechless .
Amazing super sonic upload speed.
Transferred to @dev_vps and received the CrunchBits instance.
I'll most likely hold on to that one, but will try to keep you in mind if I do!
Indeed! I wasn't disappointed with the instance AT ALL. I just wasn't using it for what it was and knew it would be appreciated elsewhere. Glad to see you do.
A great storage vps, and they'll even relocate for a small fee. Top notch product and service.
Hmmm...
So basically if the request initiator isn't too far you can serve ~2.2 GB per second?
that appears to be a destination reached over peering, likely in the same facility. 20Gbps isn’t too uncommon nowadays
Totally.
