In other words, you start paying for repairs after 6 months!
Hi do you still have available servers? What is speed for top of rack switch that all servers are connected? Can 8xHDDs be installed into these servers? I'm interested in 10 to 20 systems.
I am sorry, but this deal has been expired. If you are looking for servers, PM me!
The price is lower because we didn't make any profit on the server itself, only on colocation. It was an investment for us, to start on this forum.
You can always PM me
If there are any issues, then that is correct. That is the idea behind your own hardware
We do have available servers, but this deal has been expired, also this server is 8x SFF, so HDD don't fit in this server, but we have some other servers that are able to fit 8x HDD, just PM me!
Why rent when you can have ownership?
Because I don't need to worry about repairs!
I understand, but I think it's different for everyone. Some like the idea of having their own hardware, and can change it how they want to. They could add whatever they want, without having to pay extra monthly. Some use it as a router, some just to test around. I think there is an advantage in owning & renting hardware.
as long as it does NOT change power consumption
otherwise there are usually additional costs involved.
Also, important factor is budgeting. In many cases, renting a dedicated server is cheaper than collocation
