What's the cheapest email VPS? (IPv4+IPv6)

20GB HDD, 2GB RAM, IPv4 and IPv6 (/64) with reverse DNS for a private email server

  • greencloudvps has no ipv6 rdns
  • aeza only has 10GB HDD and is listed by spamhaus
  • ethernetservers has no ipv6 due to openvz bug
  • racknerd only provides single IPv6s in some locations via ticket, and I don't know if the /64 is shared and whether they provide rdns
  • colocrossing doesn't have ipv6
  • ponyhost search falsely lists allhost (more expensive now) and cheapest with VAT is layer7 (3,19€/month yearly)
  • serverhunter falsely lists hosteroid (no stock), servervy (down), hosting-vds is in Russian, realtoxmedia (1,99€/month) is unknown/new and only a sole trader, hostvds is apparently unreliable, tnahosting does not load (cloudflare captcha loop), others seem dodgy, and so on. Support of ipv6 rdns is unclear anyway.
  • inceptionhosting looks good for 2,17€ if paid yearly, but only in UK and NL (US out of stock). I hope they actually have ipv6 rdns?? You can't contact them without an account 🤡

So.. any suggestions below or around 2,17€?

Thanks

  • InceptionHosting has IPv6 RDNS (except that their nameservers are not reachable via IPv6)

  • I'm using Racknerd for my email server. And now it listed on blacklist IP. Second VPS at Cloudcone still good. They have ipv4/ipv6, you can config rDNS in panel. But now i return my local country VPS. And happy with it.
I advice you should need more 2GB RAM for mail server. At least 3GB or more is better. Because, Antivirus like ClamAV will stop if not enough RAM.
    Hope it help!

I am not seeing a reason to use ClamAV for a personal email server. Any dodgy attachments it would catch are way too obvious in my opinion anyway.

  • I'm using Spamassassin, Amavis + ClamAV, Public blacklist machines... on my email server. Sometime use ClamAV to scan VPS. And i'm using email hosting service of some providers. But email spam so much, so i build own email server. Now it better.

    "EvosHosting" ... they allow Email/SMTP/Port-25 , RDNS (PTR dns record) , IPv6 , IPv4 , BGP Sessions for customer's subnet , Delegation of customer subnet's reverse-zone to customer's nameserver, ...
