Yeah, that one is a proper beast. Couldn't resist and picked one with an idea to play with it for a month, but... it's too much fun, so I might end up keeping it for much longer than I initially planned. :D

It felt like those 12 Epyc cores would be a match even to Ryzen 5 3600 bare metal (6 core / 12 threads), so I run some YABS, and I was right.

    https://browser.geekbench.com/v6/cpu/compare/7245865?baseline=7267235

Slightly slower than 3600 single core, and slightly faster in multi core. Good luck finding 3600 dedi with 48 GB RAM for 14.90€ / month. :p

I ended up on 7763, which should be slightly slower than 7443P, but they probably put all these Business packages on those, due to much higher core count.

I pushed it hard with some serious work, and there's no cpu steal, none at all. So far, so good...

How robust will it be going forward? Time will tell... Guaranteed annual average uptime of 97.9% (taken from the original post) means more than a week of downtime per year, that's about 15 hours of downtime per month?! That's not particularly reassuring, but I think they should be able to do much better than that. We'll see...

With plenty of CPU cores & RAM and enough NVMe space it's a real workhorse, and the only showstopper I see right now is very little "unlimited" traffic. Only 2TB, as if it's located in Tokyo, Japan and not in Frankfurt?! :#

Yea! I use it as media server mainly (jellyfin) so I have to keep an eye on traffic, so far it should be ok since I dont need that much traffic (yet). But looking at the single core speed I will also set up smaller gameservers for myself and friends if we need one. Really great price. I hope it stays awesome like that

I think every yabs on here I've seen ended up on a 7763 actually

Support is flexible to increase that soft limit of 2 TB, especially for the business plan

fair use = 2tb cmon bruh
just say it is 2tb bandwidth lmao

To address any confusion regarding our traffic limits, we want to clarify that we do not enforce a strict traffic limit. Our 2TB limit is in place to prevent abuse. However, if a customer requires more traffic and their usage falls within fair use guidelines, we are happy to provide additional traffic at no extra cost and remove the limit.

In summary, while we have a nominal 2TB limit for preventive measures, we are flexible and responsive to customers' needs. There is no strict traffic cap with us, and we work to ensure that all customers can use the resources they need without additional charges, as long as the usage is fair and reasonable.

What do you say about accommodating for 15TB without any extra cost?

    Hello @User1,
regarding this i had a conversation with:
    Rene Wittenberg
    Chief Technology Officer
    from FameSystems.

    My question was:
What happens after the minimum term expires?
Will the price then remain at the original price or will it increase automatically?
    Regards

    Please find the Awnser below:
With a term of 12 months, the server will cost you just €16.58. After that, the price drops to €19.90. If you only pay monthly, the price remains at €19.90. So we are not increasing the price.
    Worm Regards

    @FameSystems
    Your offer is really interesting.
I will wait for additional drop for purchase.

Anyone face any server issue recently?

My Rootserver Medium server became unreachable at 14 August 19:28 UTC (as per hetrixtools). On checking found that server was reachable through noVNC console.

    • Tried clearing firewall, which didn't solve the issue.
    • Then restarted the server through noVNC console, which didn't solve the issue.
    • Restarting the server using the Product Dashboard #SOLVED# the issue.

    No idea what happened.

@FameSystems Scheduled maintenance windows are usually announced in advance with proper notification via emails. Besides, there is a whole world of difference between outage of a few minutes and 14h 25min and counting, while I type this.

In case manual intervention on part of client is needed, that needs to be conveyed too.
