caasify review (Turkey Spot and India VPS)
Hi, I'd like to drop a quick caasify review, since they are new.
Turkey/Istanbul 1€ SPOT VPS
My main goal was to try out the 1€ "spot" VPS in Turkey, billed hourly, like all of their VPS's. Spot VPS's are only temporary, meaning they can be destroyed by the provider, when the resources are needed elsewhere, which is fine with me, since I intend to use them for development.
I like the unthrottled network, and the decent ping to Europe. See the YABS here: https://pastebin.com/ZKvQNZiZ
India/Delhi 4.40€ VPS
The other plans don't look amazing. "Obviously", buying directly from the company will be cheaper. Although I could imagine for example buying the cheapest India plan, which costs the same and "only" has two more cores/bw when bought directly on the webyne site. I think 2c/8GB/100GB/10TB for 4.40€ billed hourly is really good. It took around 5 minutes after ordering to be accessible. See the YABS here: https://pastebin.com/ApA6RWb3
Another use I could imagine is creating a temporary VPN. Looking forward to more locations.
Technical details
There is no rdns. Turkey Spot VPS does not have IPv6. India location does not let you select IPv6, but it has IPv6. Hetzner location lets you select IPv6. There is no way to add an SSH key. There is no way to create a backup or snapshot. You cannot reinstall, only delete and create new. The traffic meter on the website does not seem to work (always shows 0 MB), nor does the "Console" button. There is a WHMCS addon for resellers, but I would like a documented API for my own scripts. The website is really fast.
Payment
Payment is confusing. You have to top up the balance, then move the "account credit balance" to the "cloud credit balance". Then you need at least a 1€ balance to be able to start renting any VPS. They support (EU?) bank transfer, credit cards, and crypto (USDT TRX). I am unsure whether there is some rounding up going on. I deleted a Turkey server within 2 hours, then created and deleted 2 more within the hour, and it cost me 2 cents, even though it should have been less than 1 cent.
Summary
To be honest, any shortcomings do not really matter to me. I am moving away from Hetzner to protest the price increase for my 7 year old servers, and I am using this as my playground now. It's simple, and needs more work, but it works well enough that I am already convinced. It's just what I needed, and there is no cheaper hourly VPS option out there (including the India VPS), is there?

Comments
There is now a "rebuild" button to reinstall the same OS. (no delete/create new necessary anymore)
I thought India had IPv6, but it doesn't, or it didn't work. (perhaps delhi yes mumbai no, or both no)
Bank transfer is not instant, despite SEPA instant transfer, so I assume it is reviewed manually, which took 58 minutes. Stripe has a 2.9%+fixed fee, USDT somehow adds ~1,50€ to a 5€ charge, so bank transfer is it for me.
Support response time is fast (30 minutes).
India VPS takes around 4 minutes to install. Turkey takes 1-2 minutes. The images are not updated. So Turkey VPS works well as a development vps, if you don't apt dist-upgrade right away.
really hoping there will be a "copy IP" button, because right now it always copies a newline.. and default ssh key instead of password
