They have been promising a lot of things for years, but they don't really deliver.

Finally, it was realized. However, Russians have already found a solution, so it is not a big problem after all. Perhaps only for Smart TV owners, but this can also be solved by using a VPN.

PS. For computers i guess solution is placed on gitlab. That is script called as ByDPI if i not wrong.

Even in China, users bypass the firewall, and in our country, even more so. Yes, some protocols are blocked, but not even on all operators

At this point I doubt your government has the ability to suddenly block all of them, but if you get to Turkmenistan levels, good luck.

Actually, they use them themselves :) It is mainly a campaign to protect inexperienced users from Western propaganda, but everything is not as strong as it was realised many years ago in China. Even in China, this work doesn't work for 100%.

PS. Our government is actually not better than Western governments. People are people.
But I think our guys are less dogmatic.

No, they don't want that. In fact, everything is being done now to end the confrontation and maintain normal relations with the United States, but with the requirement that the US should stop its dictatorial ways. And of course, they are trying to achieve this through peaceful means. At least for now.

    Complains about western propaganda

    Parrots Russian propaganda

Chat, what did be mean by this? Next time, don't invade a sovereign nation and expect the USA and allies not to be mad.

Agreed, but who started with the political bs? Dude asked about payment methods. Could have just said "sanctions," if your goal isn't to provoke.

For some reason I didn't feel a thing. Everything works at the same speed as before.

@zGato said: Your government is actively trying to block VPNs

Not everyone is blocking. If the VPN or VPS is a local provider, there is usually no blocking. Mostly western providers are blocked. USA Europe and others. But it is possible to bypass these blockings if necessary.

Yeah, everything can be bypassed, but the main point of your government being against VPNs is the scary part IMO. You shouldn't be going out your way to "bypass" blocks to access the free internet.

Well, on the one hand it's not very nice, but on the other hand you can understand. It's after 2022.

We'll only know once all of this finishes. Doubt they'll roll back the VPN blocks though, don't want to get into politics, that's all I will say

Now, if YouTube gets blocked, some P2P alternative will probably appear. Honestly they're doing it to themselves, torrent levels at your country are skyrocketing, Netflix's probably not too happy either.

    That's it, won't derail more, sorry @rustelekom

They are better and obviously so, and I'm not even talking about your military. I get it, you don't want politics here (neither do I) but look, it's obvious. Examples:

The situation in EU-rope got seriously worse (since feb. 2022), prices got up really badly, the constitutions are openly trampled on by the politsters who are but cut-outs doing as told. Major corporations leave or close down for diverse reasons, the main one being absurdly high energy prices, thousands and thousands of job got lost, and so on, and so on - while Russia got even more powerful and strong.

I'd happily see whole eu-ropean regimes burn down in exchange for a president like V. Putin. We EU-ropeans are getting closer and closer to the point where we couldn't be sure whether russian nukes on say, Paris or Berlin really are worse than what "our" politsters do.

Short version: your "guys" (government) actually and obviously care about the people while "our" regimes create havoc and don't give a flying f_ck about the people (unless they have blue or pink hair and are uncertain about their sex).

    Stop lying.

We do not have general unemployment problems in the EU, and inflation in Russia is much higher than in the EU countries.

Turkey is not close to joining the EU for good reason and is the only country that is actually suffering because of their failed economic policies.

I know LET is designed to offer customers cheap services, but cheap does not mean "without any margin or for free." We concentrate on our main business and do not use money for other businesses or to get more profit. Therefore, we cannot decrease prices more than our business strategy allows for this market.

Hm, hm. Maybe. Just to follow an old, good, conservative tradition. I will post an update here when it is realized.

Actually, we usually can handle problems with SMS, except for only China. This is perhaps because Chinese mobile providers block incoming SMS from Russia and from some European and American SMS gateways that we can use.
