What's funny is people are ordering even though they see people complaining about the service.

I don't know if it was an isolated case, but my VPS, which I bought yesterday, is still uptime and fully functional.

I believe @Calin is working hard to resolve the other customer cases.

His priorities are wrong. A good host helps his already paying customers before launching a new deal on LET.

    I agree with you!
In addition, this gives a negative and bad feeling to new customers who come here.

  • @ieatass said: @Calin How the $#%$ are you posting offers when you have customers down. Fix your shit first. I still can't ssh into my VPS. The other day you had port 53 blocked outbound. WTF is going on?

    >

Hello , yes we blocked recently port 53 (DNS) and UDP Traffic (permanently), in recent weeks we have received several DDoS attacks , we solve one method and another appears , we try for fix this.

  • @zGato said: Your VPS was down yesterday, in fact, all of his nodes were down for some sort of attack If I remember correctly.

Either way, he's just reselling what's left from his already oversold shit. There's literally one of the STOR nodes that's peaking at 1 Gbps, which means, good luck SSHing or doing something on that box.

We don't make oversell , ram memory & CPU and storage don't reached more that 70% for storage servers
Port speed start upgrade in next 1 week maximum , we spended 4k+ USD on this upgrade , all nodes start have 1x 25 GBs port speed

network costs it's very expensive unfortunately

Surely fix the issues you have before advertising more servers? Majority of your clients can’t even connect to the servers, downtime everyday for the last week or so this is getting ridiculous @Calin

    Constant 1gbps out wtf????

Even Microsoft recently failed due to a DDoS attack, if I receive a DDoS does that mean I can no longer carry out my work? I invested in some hardware and I have to recover my costs, DDoS attacks are very expensive to mitigate, to give you an idea, I constantly received over 200 Gbs, and at one point I received over 500 Mpps
I don't know if you know how much this means (500 Mpps!!!)

If you want anti-ddos protection, pay more, an anti-ddos protection that mitigates currently would cost several thousand dollars a month

I understand that but every week seems to be a new issue I’ve had more problems and downtime than any sort of consistent with uptime or network speeds that are actually useable

  • This things about DDoS , it's just cyber bully , and certainly those who give at the moment in us, I will not let myself be defeated so easily, if anyone thinks that they can destroy me through these DDoS attacks, they are wrong

Those who give DDoS just want to turn people against me because everything is going too well for me
If i m receive DDoS , it means I'm doing a good thing and anyone want destroy me

    (1) How 500Mbps bee much if even you sell VPSes with 1000Mbps
    (2) In this days 200GBPS is not much for a DDoS, 1-2Tbps is the new trend

I know it’s dirt cheap and I appreciate that but it’s not even worth idling as it’s not even online to idle recently and when it is the network has been horrendously slow

  • @allthemtings said: I know it’s dirt cheap and I appreciate that but it’s not even worth idling as it’s not even online to idle recently and when it is the network has been horrendously slow

    >

It depends, when the DDoS protection is active, it is normal for the internet speed to be slower, because it filters the traffic, we are talking about a lot of traffic , over 7+ GBs of traffic upload and 5-6 GBs download , this filtres usage lot of CPU & Space etc... , without equipment worth several tens of thousands of euros, it is normal to function like this

For example, DDoS protection also blocks some IPs that are from our clients, it depends on which region you are from, etc... it is impossible to work 100% accurately

We are constantly trying to improve it and in the last 2 weeks we have improved a lot of things about it, but new attack methods appear all the time, I would like to describe more details here, but no, for several security reasons

    Regards

  • About peoples what don't work login to SSH , please re-conect 2-3 times , protection just need add IP to "whitelist"

So if you authenticate once, you stay on there

For the type of stuff that you allow to host in your servers, you should've been aware for a while that you need DDoS protection. You literally moved from a garage to a DC, your home network was also getting constantly bombed, but though about fixing that now? Honestly, hilarious.

Your current filtering is just some sort of aurologic tunnel to Frankfurt, I actually thought those claims of "premium traffic" NTT Telia and whatever would be beneficial for the people looking for that, premium traffic, but now that everything is rerouted, meh I guess.

I must say, not all things are bad, honestly the normal non-rerouted traffic is amazing IMO, quite low latency to Serbia & Bulgaria which is rare to see.

I don't blame you entirely, your dirt cheap prices and "host anything" is what sells, it's your market, but you should improve in doing so. What's currently having in STOR-2 shouldn't even happen in the first place, I don't understand how you don't have at least 2.5 Gbps links on those nodes, or apply some FUP to not blast that port, but I guess it's not a single person doing it, but you overselling.

The DDoS protection it's not active constantly just when it's a DDoS attack

In the past , at old network we put more network port's speeds in same node (4x 1 Gbs for example) or other similar configurations , what at actual location not possible , unfortunately at old location our ISP very poor and that it's why happened the slow speed things

In next 8 days reached 2 months from when go colocation , and on this 2 months I'm raising budget for upgrade network port speed

wrong, the problem with DDoS started before that, but there were some small attacks, so I updated the protection and asked to test it

We speak here small DDoS attacks , but what we received right now it's next lvl

    There are only two options
    1. youre just dumb
    2. youve got some kind of illness that dont let you get the situation.

    I prefer no 1.
