FolderFort - a lifetime offer on StackSocial

There is an offer on Stacksocial with lifetime storage of 1TB at $70 from FolderFort.

Without trying it, this storage from FolderFort seems to use Backblaze provider behind the scenes, with a BeDrive frontend from CodeCanyon.

Has anyone tried this brand? Is it working good? Is it working with rclone? Is it just for pictures and small files or can one simply upload a virtual image of 1TB?

But most of all, how can they offer lifetimes with Backblaze storage? Is Backblaze that cheap for resellers to allow such stunts?

I ask these questions because FolderFort seems to do quite some advertising online (even on the frontpage of Stacksocial), so I curious for more opinions with regards to how is such offer sustainable.

    It doesn't look good https://www.reddit.com/r/FolderFort/
There’s no desktop client, nor is it possible to mount the storage to your local PC and sync it. Also, they don’t seem to be market-ready. One of their responses:

We plan on adding WebDAV support in the future. We don't have a time frame for it yet though.

Active subscribers will likely get those kind of feature updates included at no additional cost.

We don't know yet if it will apply to lifetime accounts.

Features that don't significantly increase server resources will likely be included.

Things like WebDAV and SFTP require additional server resources so it is being debated internally.

We will release a SYNC app for all platforms. But again, we don't know for sure yet the price, if any.

  • worse speeds. i prefer pcloud or idrive.

Imho way better and reliable "lifetime" alternative:
(they are in business 13 years)

No Koofr? It's my most used and valuable StackSocial haul (thanks to @Ympker!), I think.

Care to elaborate? How much experience do you have with Koofr to make such claims?
I don’t have experience with iDrive, but I prefer Koofr over pCloud.

  • I use Koofr and I am happy with it. I had no problems with Koofr so far.

I opened this thread because I saw the offer from FolderFort on Stacksocial and became curious about their storage.

  • I had bad luck with a BeDrive based storage provider (thunderdrive). Basically it means they don't invest more than 59 usd into their "development".

It wasn't expensive, but had I realised that it's just an off the shelf php script, I wouldn't have spent even that little amount.

i have life time with koofr it does not have backup files automatic selected you have to manually add backup files and sync them . its not automatic you need to manually select them pcloud just like blackbaze is more like advanced compare to koofr . koofr i am also a customer but i always have to manually add backups compare to pcloud.
