iHostART - Big network upgrade , new router & backbone what support 100 GBs port speed
Hello everyon , due to several DDoS attacks what we received recently , and due to the non-existent investments in the network, we have made the decision to make several upgrades to our network, we present the router that will be installed in the next 1-2 weeks, a router with 2x 100 Gbs port speed, and the rest of the ports of 12x 25 GBs
- After upgrade , all nodes start have 1x 25 Gbs port speed per node , and VPSs start have 2.5 Gbs port speed by default
In same time , from benginer of next year we start have main backbone with 2x 25 Gbs port speed (right now it's just 2x 10 Gbs)

Cisco, juniper routers are for a reason. Stable, more tested, has more clients, better OS. You could buy refurbed cisco vs new mikrotik.

Beside Cisco, Junos, Arista an other top 10 Datacenter Brands, most have that issue. ( packets with 64 byte )
There is a reason a 2 x 25G Router from a well established brand is like 50K new + licenses on features that you need, it is most because of the ASIC's inside those devices.
MKT and Other ( netgate comes in mind ) do mostly SW Routing + some HW offload.
Either-way, kid, aka @Calin will get to more premium devices, it is a question of time.
From wooden rack's and TP-LINK switches this is an improvement in my eyes.

Please demonstrate iperf3 operating at 100Gbps.
It's really hard to do that. Mostly because of other providers and hw limitations.
We couldn't even benefit from a full 20G port due to how internet works. Eg: https://www.speedtest.net/result/c/8ee0ad9a-24ff-4c06-821e-8b6ee8c602f6.png
I'm want donate my old router completly free to @FlorinMarian , it's a CCR with 36 cores and 4x 10 Gbs port speeds, if @FlorinMarian refuse deal it's fine

Next step is having two Romanian providers work together for an iperf3 demo between their networks.
