Please excuse the dumb question: Could resource limits change arbitrarily in the future for existing customers?

We haven't had a need to lower limits, we put some thought into them when we pick them.

We actually just increased ram limits for all resellers, so existing customers got an upgrade.

Also the old 1/5/20G shared plans got free upgrades to 5/15/25G storage at no additional cost.

The only time we’ve taken things away from users was the free IP address. We’ve not had a reason to ever lower resources on the plans.

Lets try to keep it civil :)

ICANN just signed their side of the contract about 20 minutes ago, so we're within days of being able to talk to Verisign and get things going.

It's up to Mike if he wants to rolls with Logicboxes platform and then I build out our integrations later, or if we wait however many weeks for me to code/test/etc things.

LB gets us going now but with a 'per domain' fee.

I'm curious about this per domain fee. All these days I thought they took a lump-sum amount like $5k or $10k dollars for getting everything done (filing to ICANN, storefront, etc) Lots of small/mid-size registrars do use LB as backend. So what's the per domain fee? is is % wise or fixed $?

Fixed amount per domain to use their platform.

Yup. That's what it's for. Fran just added it.

Although with DA you can also do backups, move, and restore them yourself as a reseller.

A question, is it possible to migrate from one node to another for let's say the computing power difference between ryzen 3000 and ryzen 7000 is certainly tempting.

All nodes are 7900. Everything got standardized last year.

The migration tool can pull from any remote DA or cpanel and bring it in :) only issue is if you’re using non standard ports on the remote which some DA hosts have done to be more cpanel friendly. I’m planning to patch that in soon.

    Very crazy thought.
I have DA hosting emails for my domain (different provider).

Can I use this migration tool as a way to keep my emails in sync and one day if something goes bad on the other side, I simply connect to NameCrane (after sns changes) and all would work? Any way to automated/ do incremental backups ?

We'll be behind on this a bit. Originally we intended to use the modulegardens domain reseller module since we had planned to be using WHMCS 7.x still. With us being on the latest/greatest version, it has most of the features already baked in.

We'll be building our own module once we have the initial 'retail' side figured out. Mike's working out how tiers should work (especially in regards to payment methods) and we go from there.

I mean you could but this is a terrible terrible idea (and very manual).

You'd be best off just running imapsync via cron on the crane side and re-sync a list of folders. You can give imapsync a text file of login/passwords on both sides.

If you don't have those login/passwords, then I guess the migration tool is using a shovel to drive nails.
