These scores are superbly low, correct for a dedicated server?
That indicates, most likely, host node is pretty busy.
Dedicated server, with a single idle windows vps
Then something is definitely wrong, as GB6 score for 5700 is much higher, especially for VDS and dedicated server
Here are GB5 and GB6 scores for much less powerful 2 vCore Xeon Gold 6148
@VPSSLIM VPS Starter @ 10 Gbps in Tallinn, Estonia πͺπͺ
VPS with 12 vCore / 12 GB / 180 GB / 10 gig data port
Good opportunity to compare with:
So, when using modern (admittedly one of the fastest) CPU, HALF number of cores are good for TWICE the performance. Am I wrong, is modern core really about 4x as fast as that old sh*t?
You are absolutely correct.
6 vCore Ryzen, I can connect windows RDP on 4k monitor and play YouTube video at 4k fullscreen and video play smoothly.

netcup VPS ARM1000 in US east, β¬4.73/m (w/o VAT, and there's a 10% off recurring promo). I use this as a tor exit node, thought their AUP allows this.

How much licensing fees did you have to pay to Oracle for that VPS? I had to pay a $50/month license just to view your YABS benchmark.
Also Oracle famously had a clause disallowing benchmarks of their databases: https://www.brentozar.com/archive/2018/05/the-dewitt-clause-why-you-rarely-see-database-benchmarks/
Where do you see any βdatabase benchmarkingβ in YABS?
The filesystem is a database. Running fio creates and deletes files in a filesystem.

@NDTN
I had some balance left on One provider and I wanted to try their $5/m vps...
