Need recommendation¨- Storage Dedi
Hello, i have been talking with some of you on the Seedboxes discord and reddit, but now i'm trying here too.
I need a good place to rent a dedi server with this minimum specs (more the happier)
CPU: Passmark of 16k or 2x11-12k
Ram: 128gb
Storage: 160TB
Location: EU
Budget: 250-300 euro
Note: NOT Hetzner as i want to get rid of the Hetzner-Plex ban. Atm. I'm hosted at Hostingby.design

I dont think budget would fit... but it's worth to try i guess.
Already spoken with Calin. Only Dedi he could do was 28x16 tb for 550$ - That's a bit more than i need, and pretty much over budget. Thanks anyways

Thanks for the offer. But CPU wise it is lacklusting and your highest storage server barely fill my storage needs, and i can't guarantee no filesharing but i could guarantee that i only would be doing private trackers, so no dmca warnings. - Thanks anyways.

Theres cpu upgrades possible since its a dual socket mainboard used anyways. Any cpu possible to fit on those sockets would be possible, allowing a lot of cpu power, if needed.
Disks up to 22 TB each can be placed, would be a total of 176 TB.
Anyways im more scared about the file sharing part.

Why do you need dedi?
Because I need too much cpu power and storage that it isn't worth making a VPS for. I would be using most of the cpu and storage anyways.
160TB of illegal ISO's. No real provider is going to bite on that, let alone match Hetzner's price per TB. There is a reason why plex blocked hetzner and other similar companies might follow suite, its because hetzner is active against dmca abuse complaints but not proactive in preventing dmca abuse in any way.
Besides HBD's current owner has a bit of a history with the law, and its probably why other companies here don't want to pick seedbox clients and suffer the same legal fate.

We recommend these days getting a MD Dedicated + Storage Box, grow as you need, either more MD units (more CPU, BW, nvme cache etc.) or more storage boxes (more storage) -- and splitting your load across multiple MD units. This brings more total value to end user often.
