  • Hi, do You share datacenter with ovh? Or You use the ovh Canada datacenter?

    Thank You,

    Thank You,

No, they have their own network and equipments in a tier-3 datacenter in Montreal, so obviously nothing related to OVH here.

    Thank You,

no we are unrelated to OVH in any way
Our datacenter is in Montreal , OVH datacenter is in Beauharnois near Montreal

We own all our hardware , and run from our own private datacenter suite and we manage our network

@servarica_hani - were all plans switched to 250mbps + 1mbps daily? I ask this because I don't see this such option on one of my servers.

Hello! What kind of drive is used on Lobster Unlimited Expanding Storage Plan? Is it San Storage, SSD, most likely not NVME ( ;) ). Thanks!

It is San storage to our storage servers that run HDD using zfs
This way we can increase the disk indefinitely as we are not bound to one storage server or the same compute server

  • YABS for the Lobster Unlimited Expanding Storage Plan?

  • Yes, I understand. Would be great to have something like your hybrid offer, smaller NVME (fixed size) for OS and main stuff and expanding HDD for rest.

A huge bandwidth upgrade for free.

Servarica continues to justify why they are my favorite provider, bravo boys.

It's definitely an interesting programme. However I'm curious, if I hold the plan for a year, I can have unlimited 500Mbps at the end of the year, and if I continue, and continue again ...... Is this so-called bandwidth growth also all but unlimited, and can be continually increased?

Takes two years to reach 1Gbps and 26.7 to reach 10 Gbps (they have 10 it seems). So yes it's unlimted until they don't exist or they don't have something faster than 10 Gbps on 27 years.

hard to believe when all customers reaching the 2 year lease will get the full 1Gbps

Who knows. The whole point of this promotion is to keep people around and not leave after a few months. Another point is how many people will be actually using the full 1Gbps since they are start way less and what happens if you blast/abuse the port.

This rate is applicable only for upload, the download rate is 10 gig from day one

And there is max cap of 1 gig on upload rate, after that it won’t increase. Only storage space will continue to increase

Please correct me if I have misstated here @servarica_hani

Checked with our dev and it need few changes in template and very few changes in the code
Still need to decide when to introduce those plans

Plus we do have plenty of unused BW
And if in case our BW got used adding more is easy as long as we have the infra which was the costly part of this migration

Here's the YABS from a new Octopus VDS 2 plan.

The GB6 and IO performance are not satisfactory, I might have been assigned to a less-than-ideal host node.

@servarica_hani Can you help me with this?
