Hetzner Refused To Restore My Account!!

    And also i asked them to trigger the payment so the account will be still active until we found a way to recover the account! after i tagged them here my account servers went down!!! i don’t know if is a > @plumberg said:

    well i will give them any info they want! for example cloudflare asked for for same papers and i have provided them and today i got my account back even i have a free account!

    We recommended you to try other social media channels (e.g. Facebook, Twitter) to get in touch with an executive. Ordinary support have to follow rules set up by their supervisors. It’s normal in big enterprise environments. A single employee can’t decide something and act on his own, unless he got explicit permissions to do so from his higher levels.

    On LET, Hetzner has become relatively inactive, so they won’t be able to answer you quickly.

    I think it's kinda pointless. OP rather waits for a miracle with the only payment option locked to make sure the bills, which OP currently can't settle manually, end up unpaid.

    By the way, you can be pretty sure that almost nothing at Hetzner is done manually, especially not deactivating overdue services. Doing things by hand (outside of one-of tasks) is simply not how they how they roll because even just going through their 5038 currently active account recovery tickets to find out which of those probably posted on LET is already a net loss to them versus simply waiting for the automation to kick in.

    His Gmail got banned, with it his entire password vault, totp keys, passkeys, backup codes…
    A reminder for all of us to not store everything in one place, without backups, even if that place is considered to be „absolutely safe“

    Well i have moved almost everything except websites one server i don’t remember why i can’t connect to it maybe because it has older key or i had changed ssh port i usually do…, I was waiting and having a good faith in hetzner.

    This is a particular case, and Hetzner should support him.

    I have the same problem with my Amazon account. I can log in to my account, but I lost the 2FA.

    I have the account's email, can reset my password, and can provide the credit card number, but I can't provide the exact address because I had lived at many addresses in the city for several years before that. I tried to tell them all the addresses but had no success.

    I called them multiple times, but the supporters couldn't help because they couldn't turn off 2FA themself. That's the company policy and permission.

    I lost my Amazon account.

    I think I never turned on a 2FA account before. This is a weak point of Amazon; if someone hacked my account, they can turn on 2FA and change the address, then I can't recover my account.
