What's a good 5G eSim for EU?
Currently out here in Italy and while T-Mobile with roaming generally works okay, it has essentially no 5G coverage.
I'm in the southern area of Italy, but I'm gonna be going to other Schengen countries too.
What's a consistently good 5G eSim that generally works throughout Europe? Vodafone?

I used Tim last year. 5g coverage varies. But service was good. But in high traffic places, you will have congestion
Saily used it recommend it. 5GB i got for free .
viaesim.com the best
Just saw an ad for it on a Bald and Bankrupt video lol.
Really? In Norway I had 5G everywhere with T-Mobile international data pass. Must be location specific.
T-Mobile / Telekom
Sometimes it can be pretty hard to get 5G while roaming. Highly carrier dependent whether they allow roaming users onto their 5G network. For Europe 5G isn't a big concern imo. I would be more concerned about more high density places like Asia.
Try Elisa Saunalahti Finland
Elisa Prepaid eSIM. It works in all EU/EEA countries, and you can fill up the balance, which is 4G only, and data packages, which support both 4G and 5G.
Here's a list of supported countries, use translate if necessary:

three austria. 14,90 per month unlimited data in austria and 22gb for roaming in the eu
its called 3up³
you can manage everything through their app
I advise you to open a live chat on GoSim.nl and ask for their 300GB EU limited special … they help me save on roaming within Europe, where my Dutch provider only gives a really tiny amount to roam with .. :-)
They are a young and small company based in NL that really makes them approachable .. which aligns with my préférences perfectly
Yeah, I bought an international data pass + enabled roaming & I've mostly been on LTE. Sometimes nothing.
I believe it all depends on what roaming partner tmobile has. I went to business for India w tmobile . The preferred roaming partner was vodafone. It was 4g all throughout. Some places I was able to connect to airtel and I got 5g.
Check which roaming partner is in Italy and whether they support 5g.
In Italy, Tim was just starting to roll 5g... they tried upselling me for 5g extra. I was like, nice try.
Lol, that's no joke. I had a better reception in Indonesia than I do in Italy with T-Mobile.
Italy is super laid back especially south. So yeh, good luck. But enjoy the gelatos!
Most definitely, I love the vibe. In the United States, you won't see parents out with their kids grabbing a drink at 10 PM lol.
We thought you are gone?
I quit writing for LEB indeed. Too much work, not enough time. I still have a good relationship with @raindog308 & @jbiloh though.
airalo are good I have used them in Europe and USA
Yep, they're good. Can be a bit spendy but their multi-country regional plans work. Nice to land and have service available before even getting off the plane and to some cellular kiosk.
Just got back from a couple of weeks in Europe. I used a Global Yo eSIM as it was the cheapest I could find for 20GB of data ($15 USD). No issues with 5G in Portugal, Spain, Germany and the UK. The app is a bit over the top, and it was a datacenter IP so some sites were blocked, but overall worked fine.
1st time seen fuck in ad lol.. This is from their ad atm
This.
Yeahhh that's the "over the top" part. Real "how do you do, fellow kids?" vibes
How much did it cost?
Do they speak english?
It is obligatory to register this sim using your ID/passport like in most EU countries?
I was recently in Italy. Used airhub since there was a promo.
The only place I lost service was up some big ass mountain outside of soligo.
Can't vouch for all of europe, but I had access to Tim and one other provider throughout Italy on airhub sim.
@SirFoxy
You can try eSIM from Revolut, they have decent plans.
I am fairly sure they speak English, although I communicated in my native tongue ;-). I really liked how easy it was to get going. Select package, give your name and email, pay, and boom, seconds later your eSim arrives in your mailbox. Easy as that.
Until recently i have worked/been employeed for Telefonica/o2 Germany. As a account Manager for Business customers.
What i can tell is that The Operators in almost every country , there is Always some Operator who is Not letting Roaming people into their 5G. Has been Same many years ago when 4G was the new Shit
We even had a internal Database to lookup Partner Operators where customers could Access 5G in other countries because sometimes Customers called up complaining. So we Just told them to use other Operator in The country they are currently making vacation/Business Trip whatever.
So what i want to say in The end, is that maybe you Not Always have Access to 5G because you are "Roaming" and Not actual their customer.
Maybe they are just not letting you Access it
Edit
There was even a country where none Operator allowed 5G to Our customers.
Orange Flex is not a bad option. It is primarily a Polish prepaid monthly eSIM and requires one-time KYC registration, but the use of it is fairly straightforward with their app (which is entirely in English) and you get a proper Polish number on top of that. I don't know about Italy, but it did roam properly with 5G in a quite a few EU countries.
Just keep in mind that they're leveraging the EU roam-like-at-home restriction on data allowance, meaning that you only get like 8 GB outside of Poland per month in the basic plan.
