Which provider would you recommend to host a private VPN in Europe?
With network quality and a guaranteed bandwidth of 1gbps as main criteria

Make your own with wireguard can’t really go wrong that way

Yes, I didn't specify but I want to self-host. Unless someone can convince me that I'd have better stability with a managed VPN service.

But I'm looking for offers with the best network and guaranteed bandwidth at a reasonable price.

    https://github.com/Nyr/wireguard-install

One command line fully installed for you, you can pick any location of your choice and have full control and 100% usage, you can pickup a VPS on here for pennies

What I'm looking for is a provider / vps offer with a premium network :)

  • Legal traffic only?
Ionos, Strato both 1€ 10 Gbps unlimited
    Netcup 1€ 1 Gbps unlimited

    Illegal traffic?
    Maybe @Calin

Yes, legal traffic. No torrent. No need of DMCA ignored offers or anything shaddy
    Just a high-quality network.

    Thanks for the recommendations

@Hosteroid has a 10 Gbps node in Bucharest, which should easily give you 1 Gbps when you need it. Here's a YABS. They're also available in other parts of Europe/NA with 1 Gbps.

@AlbaHost also has a 10 Gbps node in Amsterdam, which should also easily give you 1 Gbps when needed. Here's a YABS. Also available in Warsaw & Frankfurt with 1 Gbps.

A YABS is not really a test that will guarantee you having 1 Gbps, so feel free to contact these providers for a trial, and you'd most likely to get it :)

Alternative providers are @alwyzon (Vienna with great network), @VPSSLIM in Woerden, @AezaHost in multiple locations (they have hourly billing), @hosthatch in multiple locations, @kuroit in multiple locations, @tentor in Warsaw and a couple more you can check in my signature :)

Our VPS offers should be great for this use case, we do not over-allocate bandwidth :)

If that is supposed to be vpn for your home, you should probably narrow "Europe" to your country to minimise latency. Other bit is that if you're planning on tunnelling all your traffic then going out to Internet through a different country is causing some different issues, especially in google dominated times...
My main traffic is going through node in my country, some bits that I want to be geo located somewhere else are tunnelled through different country.
