VPN game likely with an unprotected backend server sitting somewhere cheap.
With some older games these specs aren't actually horrible though. Going for independent VMs instead of one server running multiple game instances isn't all that ideal in regards to effectively using resources though as a single server will have predictably more unused resources at any given time therefore being able to host more instances.

Tanking a lot of DDoS (which is a sad reality with game servers and the usual e-peen kids getting angry) isn't really all that economical for the provider at such rates. These $12-$15 VPS are bottom of the barrel and usually hardly profitable as is. Any kind of further expense just cuts deeper into the already almost non-existent profit margin or pushes it into the negative.
Well I'm using vps for hosting small game servers Mtasa & samp which only required 200MB ram per server and coming about ddos attacks it will be very low chance of attacks
since Im already using hostbrr vps,evolution host vps & luxvps for these game servers which are running perfectly even after some couple ddos attacks,

are not providing small plans with cheap price I created this thread to lookup for more cheap price option.
Well, that's good but just keep in mind that at 15€/y about half the payment is already gone on the the IP alone, while 5%-10% probably go to the payment provider, maybe 10-20% on taxes (if there's VAT involved that'll already be just the VAT part for a lot of countries with no actual income tax subtracted yet), which leaves about 5-6€ (quite optimistic calculation! per year!) to pay for hardware, colocation, power, ... and (at least in theory) the company also wants to turn a profit on all of this. Even if the DDoS protection only costs them 1-2€ per year with such a calculation that's already a massive amount.
