Looking for a DDoS protected, 12GB+ RAM server for game server hosting
Use case:
I will be hosting a dedicated server for the game Rust. It will be running 24/7/365 and will have around 5-10 active players online at any time.
VZ Type:
KVM preferred as I might want to install Docker and such, but any acceptable.
Number of Cores: 2
RAM: 12GB
Disk Space: 10GB, not that important
Disk Type: SSD or better
Bandwidth: 1 TB+

Been using Epyc 32GB to do xRDP, Game servers in Docker, and other stuff.
Also stay the fuck away from contabo for game servers. VPS couldn't even handle a Minecraft server with 0 players. Couldn't keep 20 TPS doing nothing.

Yearly kind of sucks, but I get it for good offer, more money/time to keep you upfront means they know you will stick and will offer you more for that time and money.
You could always host multiple servers or change the game if anything happens to your rust server. Also to note, the 24GB/32GB is Semi-Yearly.
Also to note, no idea how good the DDoS protection is and isn't on the home page, but on the sales pages.
Why not grab one of those? Excellent deal for 12GB RAM if you don't need other resources. That's like $0.50c/GB!
Sure you don't need dedicated cores? Constant use of shared cores may trigger AUP.

Good point. I'll read over the AUP and see if it's an issue. If so, I'll opt for @Kevinf100's deal as it does include 2 dedicated AND 2 fair-shared cores for $75/y

Check below vps which had used for game server hosting
Hostbrr vps - cheap price and best in performance ddos protected. Tested it for game servers. Still using it.
Layer7 - very cheap price, good but doesn't have ddos protection, no more using layer 7 vps .
Evolution host - costly but good in performance,DDos protection 100% strong still using it.
Luxvps - not good for Minecraft hosting except Minecraft you can use it for other game servers, performance is good but ddos protection is not strong.
Rust requires high clock speeds to perform well. I think you are going to end up buying twice if you buy cheap based on our experience with it.
$6.40 for this specification on a CPU that will perform well (Ryzen) is VERY cheap!
Thanks for mentioning, we do not have DDoS protection at that location, in case DDoS attach the IP address will be null-routed
