@RoyaleHosting
@labze HostBrr
Running Windows Server 2025 OS on same @labze HostBrr VPS
@dev_vps is there any offer on the forum that you don't buy?
Really, how many running VPS you have right now?
P.S. it is clear that if I had asked this 2 days later, the figure would of course have been much higher
I have 11 paid VPS that are in use regularly โฆ
rest are all free, giveaway, almost free and trial vps
OK, so you test them and then ditch most of them quickly...
What are your favorite providers?
Can you spare a microvm
I want to run UptimeKuma on it
Absolutely.
What is the VPS spec are you looking for?
PS - due to legal constraints, I will get vps transferred to your account, assuming provider is ok to transfer to your account
1Cpu 1Ram 10gb storage US or EU
Thank you so much!
not in any particular order, here are my recommended providers on LET
@Clouvider @crunchbits @host_c @labze HostBrr @rsk Layer.ae
@heartbeat_IT @HostSlick @HostHatch @oplink
@MannDude IncogNet @Shakib HostCram NetCup Hetzner
special mention to @mxmla @heartbeat_IT, I got my first VPS through him.
special mention also to @Clouvider (I had the cheapest VPS with Windows Server OS running for over 2+ years @InceptionHosting .... I upgraded to Clouvider VPS ... the data network is premium). If I had to pick VPS for trading stocks/futures etc , @Clouvider is #1 on my list.
A+++ for customer service -- @host_c and @labze
There ae few other providers who are in my list and would transition to the recommended list in few months.
Thanks for the kind words @dev_vps ๐
next question, where to get windows server 2025 and a valid license?
I am a developer with MSDN professional developer subscription. I use either trial edition or use my developer key.

Thank you for a great answer! Better than expected.
Already a customer of some of those, and definitely having some others from the list on radar, we'll see what the next BF brings.
I do appreciate you answering this in detail, 'cause with so many VPS under test, you can make a better judgement.
Have a nice day!
all the providers that @dev_vps mentioned are prem you cannot go wrong with any of them.
@sh97
May I report an issue with the nws.sh script
The cpu cores info, in this case, is incorrect
some he didnot mentioned
@dev_vps @sh97: The problem is in line 629, the following command is used to determine the core count:
As the processor name in the abovementioned VPS is
Common KVM processor, it matches as well and increases the count.It could be solved by replacing the command with:
which only matches when
processoris before a colon (of course a CPU namedsome processor :would still match).Thanks @lukast__
But, I think it still needs some code change
@dev_vps - thanks for letting me know. Yes, this has been known for a while. I always forget to correct this while making an update.
@lukast__ - thank you! Appreciate you digging into the code. Will fix it for the next update.
This must be next-gen Intel, so fast that Geekbench 6 numbers are not available due to division by zero.
well, cpu passthrough is not enabled.
GB6 can be run, but it is not going to be a reliable number due to memory. And scores are well off when swap memory is used.
Running couple more tests and then this VPS will be gone ๐
