Couldn't buy it because I couldn't verify it. After entering the information, it keeps prompting an error!!!! So I chose another merchant.

Advance servers are cool, but if theres new servers on Game Range with 10 Gbps it could be awesome.

Finally a refresh after 2.5 years.

Nice to finally see some new hardware with good core speeds from OVH.

There was a time when almost all my dedis were with OVH, but I've been getting all my new servers from other providers for the past few years due to how much prices have increased and how far behind performance has fallen. I miss the days when OVH Labs sold overclocked latest gen i7s at affordable prices.

Hoping for some good Black Friday deals on these, since pricing is just not competitive if you need a lot of ram but don't care about a verified CPU, ECC memory, or RAID.

Monthly with no commitment with 64 GB RAM: €96.99 vs. €39.00

The OVH dedi ships with 2x the disk space though, but still

I’m not saying this config isn’t better, I’m saying it’s not ~2.5x better

Especially considering one comes with a broken platform and the other don’t

Which provider is selling the i5-13500 for €39? I'm paying €59 for the one I currently have from iKoula, which is under performing due to poor cooling and they couldn't even be bothered to respond to my ticket about the overheating. It isn't as good value as the 7950X's I have with some other providers, but at €39 it would be much more competitive even with the ecores and poor heat management.

The servers I still have with OVH these days are ones which have a bunch of floating IPs that can't just be changed, which is why I'd take this on a good Black Friday deal to upgrade some of the ones I have on yearly contract, even if I could get value for half the price elsewhere. Hell, I'm even overpaying OVH for an ancient dedi which they moved to Kimsufi many years ago and sell for like 4x less just because I need to keep the primary IP and they refuse to reduce the price / transfer it to kimsufi / re-route the primary IP to new hardware.

Hello @hkbbdx, thanks for your interest, no plans at this time, we will be sure to announce on our socials if there is any.

  • We should make an petition to change the nickname from @OVH_APAC to OVH, simple.

  • Nice servers/specs, but quite overpriced.

An error occurred on generating a new virtual MAC on the IP XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
Virtual Mac is not supported by this server

BUT that cannot stop This Young Proxmox Sovereign B) from using his favorite Debian based Virtualization OS and his super clean /32 failover IPs... I just created second bridge with routed setup almost direct copy paste from Hetzner docs for Proxmox routed setup... and everything is working fine ...

NB! Use Main Server IP for gateway (not the gateway ip of the server) for the VMs to not leak your auto generated mac to OVH - that (leaking) caused issue with Hetzner and it may cause issues with OVH

P.S. with those 5Gbps private bandwidth they seems to design the service to be used with vRack and public subnets attached to it trough vRack
