Contabo - Spam Attacks
Every day, I receive spam attacks from the same Contabo customer, using the same IP addresses.
I report IPs daily here:

But nothing changes. The same daily attacks.
The spammers even impersonate the director of Contabo.
Has anyone successfully reported abuses to Contabo?

First mistake is that you are using Contabo services.
I do not use them, but receive attacks from their users.
To be honest, no. It is just not possible. All reports are moved to trash.
This is ridiculous for a German provider.
Spammers forge headers, which are prohibited in the EU.
Block contabo asn. Sleep well.
That is really nice from the attacker and Contabo, you just ban the IP for a week and you are spam free.

I usually solve it by reporting to abuse.
This way also help other people.
Leaseweb, Hetz, Aeza answer very fast.
Even Colocrossing has blocked spam attackers.
No idea, why Contabo just ignores reports.

But never got any response. Some IPs from their subnet keep hammering our server, finally we decide to block their network.
Apart from overallocating and providing shitty services now they don't even reply to abuse email 😂

There is also a possibility that attacks are made from contabo resellers.
So it is very hard to reach the real hosting provider.
