Cheap vps for blog

Hi!

I am going to setup 2 homepages that is going to work as a blog.

So i need a reliable provider, but at the same time I don't want to spend that much money on the vps.

I think there should though be good alternatives here, I haven't just found all the offers available.

CPU: Around 4 should be enough
SSD drive or NVME: at least 300(Should be 400) gb,
Internet: Stable, unlimited, Europe is preferred.

Price Range: 3-5 dollars (If the provider has add-ons etc for homepage making, I can add 2-3 more dollars, but remember that Contabo has this for 5 Euro).

Operating system: Windows is preferred, but I can work with Linux also, have already a setup for Linux for homepage making.

I am only going to do a blog, I will not sell anything on the homepage or have that kind of sensitive information. I will upload a lot of images, but backup wise I already have everything backed up.

Any service or recommendation I am all open, if there is a provder with lower CPU like 2 or 3, that is fine also.
This is not a Dedi server request either, so I suppose there is a lot of providers.

    ServaRica — $7.00 / month
    3 Intel Cores (shared)
    4096 MB RAM
    400 GB NVMe
    51200 GB/month bandwidth
    0.2 Gbps port speed
    IPv4 + IPv6
    Canada

300GB SSD inflates the price. Toggle the search parameters in my affiliated pony page.

Checked: Contabo actually offers 400GB SSD for 5€. I'm not aware of better offers here.

  • thanks for info, will check it out

    Hello,

Your budget is to low for your disk requirements, specially regarding NVMe.

If you increase your budget then take a look in our VPS Plans:

Yeah, that was my first thought too. A 300-400GB blog... mama mia.

@budi1413 Hahaha true, I probably only need like 100gb.

That's still one huge fucking blog. Do you plan on posting a whole novella every day for the next 10 years to come (even then you'd still probably not reach 100GB)?

At a 25MB average 300 pictures will be about 7,5GB. Lets round that to 10GB and triple it for good measure, so about 30GB would probably work just fine and with the 50GB @davide posted there'd be even more headroom. Core wise you'd probably do good with just 2 or even 1 unless you are expecting a ton of traffic. RAM kinda depends on the type of applications you are going to run but i'd again echo @davide and say that on average 2GB should work.
