I actually really liked the idea at first, but after reading this thread...hell no!
Caasify being the owner of all the services was a giant red flag, and now this about installing an agent on the customers vps to detect abuse. What's it gonna do, scan all outgoing traffic and read all outgoing email?
This could be one of the worst ideas I've heard in a long time.
I'm not ignoring you. please be patient; I'll update you ASAP.
Good idea, rotten implementation and lack of legal investigation
The agent is an IPS/IDS system. It is crucial to enable IDS/IPS on any network infrastructure, and we have the authority to do so. Some providers enable IPS/IDS on the hardware level, while others do so on their virtual router. We run it on the VMs.
You do not need to explain how it works, most people here are technical enough to deploy a solution like this on their own. The reason they don't is not technical.
If you think people will buy services that are registered under your name, resell these to other customers while allowing you to install software on the vps's, I'm afraid you are severely mistaken.
I cant even begin to imagine how I should explain to my customers what the software running on their vps is.
As a service provider this is not just shooting yourself in the foot, this is taking a shotgun and blowing both legs clean off.
You can stop selling VMs from non-partners easily. As I mentioned earlier, the agent is only for non-partner providers. Therefore, you can sell VMs from other providers in Stockholm, London, UAB, Istanbul, and Ankara. Mumbai and Delhi will also be added very soon, and there are no agent or abuse problems with these providers.
Thank you for informing us. The cookie request has been added to the website.
I didn't understand the consumer right, could you please provide more details?
As a citizen of the DPRK. you just dont. Send them to farm potatoes in the mountain. So easy!
I will recommend you seek some legal assistance to get your business GDPR compliant and to create a proper TOS document with a AUP.

This whole broker/marketplace idea has been tried so many times...by big players, too. It never works.
