Is anyone familiar with Cloud South?
Hi everyone, so I was browsing the internet for a dedicated server in the US and I came across the ad of a company called Cloud South.
https://cloudsouth.com/flash-sale/. This was the page that was being advertised. It looks sketchy AF, but they're advertising a dual Xeon 6138 server for only $88, which is an unbelievable price, basically too good to be true.
After researching the company for a few minutes, the reviews are mixed, but most of the negative reviews are because of a data breach they had a few months ago.
I honestly don't trust the offer, it seems too good, and the website looks sketchy. But I wanted to ask here to see if anyone's heard of this company and if they know whether it's trustworthy.

The name indicates they probably know where they’re heading
Who?
Bruh.. I clicked on the thread only to make that joke
As it was loading I was thinking maybe one of those 3 comments already did..:(
Maybe add a 4th arrow next time, I’m having some difficulties figuring out what they’re pointing at (probably due to the lack of a 4th arrow)
Yeah, saw that. I was really hoping that despite all the issues it would end up being a reputable provider.
If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck and quacks like a duck...
If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck and quacks like a duck it might still identify as something else so better ask

12 years old, owned subnets, owned facility, I don't see a huge issue. A lot of these older providers have terrible sites, look at NOCIX/WSI. Just looks like a small edge facility that sells dedis on the side, but I doubt dedicated servers are their main business and their site clearly reflects that.

That's good, but I'm concerned about reliability and as tempting as the price is, I'm going to have to pass seeing that I can't find much info about the company.
Disturbing stuff.
