There's no simple "one size fits all" solution for this, it depends on your application requirements and your goals - if it's anything more than a couple of static PHP files, you need to consider shared storage, database clustering, failover etc. The load balancer is really only a minimal part of it.
Take a look at the AWS reference architecture for Wordpress for example, it's absolutely bonkers.
